Background / History

Ye Xinglan is the daughter of Ye Changming of Heaven Dou City's low-profile but influential Ye Family. The family's ancestry traces back to a guardian elder of the Nine Treasures Glazed Sect, and it has retained friendly ties with that sect's descendants. Ye Changming later transferred to the Tang Sect's headquarters through his employment with Xuan Shi Tang Sect Co., Ltd. 20 22 30

At level twelve, Ye Xinglan entered the Spirit Ascension Platform alone after becoming frustrated by a delayed appointment. A thousand-year Green Bush Wolf pursued and wounded her until Nan Liujing intervened and killed it in one strike. His offer to teach her practical combat persuaded her to become his temporary partner despite her initial distrust. 17

When she learned that “Lu Mingfei” was not Nan Liujing's real name, Ye Xinglan confronted him because she considered honesty essential between partners.
