Kagura fought alongside his allies as Madara launched a world war, attacked Konoha, and sought the Nine-Tails. After the battle, Kagura investigated the Uchiha Stone Tablet, but the Ninja Cat Clan required him to complete its tests before taking it.

Arc 13War and the Akatsuki

Madara allied Akatsuki with Iwagakure to launch the Third Shinobi World War, drawing Konoha into a battle to defend Yahiko’s Amegakure. As Akatsuki fighters targeted Konoha’s squads, Kagura pursued Kakuzu, whose vast stock of spare hearts forced Kagura to unleash five Tailed Beasts.

  • Madara transferred into a young body, awakened with the Rinnegan, and ordered Akatsuki to continue its plans as thousands of followers knelt before him.
  • Madara secured Ōnoki’s cooperation, and after a year of preparation Iwagakure and Akatsuki invaded neighboring nations, starting the Third Shinobi World War.
  • Konoha allied with Kumogakure and Yahiko’s Amegakure against Iwagakure, and Kagura led Jiraiya, Qianyu, Yamato, and Kurenai Yuhi to the Land of Rain.
  • Yahiko told Kagura that Iwagakure had been pushed back but was bringing reinforcements, including Hanzo, so Kagura agreed to divide his forces among key battlefield positions.
  • Nawaki’s squad encountered Juzō Biwa and Suikazan Fuguki, and Might Dai opened the Seventh Gate to rescue Nawaki and fight the two swordsmen, losing his right hand as he defeated them.
  • Orochimaru confronted Danzo, who had helped Akatsuki target Konoha’s squads, and summoned Senju Hashirama, whose Wood Release killed Danzo’s guards before his vessel disintegrated.

Arc 14Hanzo’s Last Stand

Kagura’s allies survived a coordinated attack by Iwagakure and Akatsuki, while Yahiko’s confrontation with Hanzo ended with Hanzo’s death and Yahiko taking responsibility for the Land of Rain. In the Land of Lightning, Uchiha Madara confronted the Third Raikage after Kumogakure withdrew its forces, and the Raikage’s opening strike seemed to pierce Madara with ease.

  • Kagura killed Kakuzu with five Tailed Beast Bombs, while Kakashi’s patrol encountered Iwagakure Jonin and Kakashi, Obito, and Rin were overwhelmed in battle.
  • Obito awakened his Two-Tomoe Sharingan to save Rin, and Minato arrived in time to rescue Kakashi and defeat the attackers, and Qianyu later used his Sharingan to interrogate their captive Sumashi.
  • Hanzo and Danzo used Konan as bait to draw Yahiko out, but Jiraiya and Minato intervened before Yahiko could sacrifice himself, and Hanzo stayed behind to confront Yahiko and his allies.
  • Kagura reached the battle after Jiraiya and Minato defeated Ibuse, and Yahiko killed Hanzo in their final clash, and Hanzo entrusted the Land of Rain’s future to Yahiko.
  • Kagura helped assess the casualties and comforted wounded survivors, including Might Dai and Hiashi, who vowed to grow strong enough to protect his companions.
  • In the Land of Lightning, Kumogakure’s forces fought recurring waves of White Zetsu until Uchiha Madara appeared, and the Third Raikage ordered A and Killer B to withdraw while he stayed behind.
  • Madara revealed that he had been trying to draw out Killer B and faced the Third Raikage alone, and the Raikage charged with his Lightning Release Armor and Two-Finger Nukite and appeared to pierce Madara’s chest.

Arc 15Madara's Assault on Konoha

Madara killed the Third Raikage, seized the Five-Tails, and attacked Konoha to take the Nine-Tails from Kushina. Kagura rallied allies and resurrected fighters against Madara and his Six Paths, leaving the battles underway as Gengetsu's summoned beasts charged him.

  • The Third Raikage fought Madara to the death, and Ōnoki responded by ordering Iwagakure's forces to launch an all-out assault on Konoha.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi and Ōnoki began their duel as the armies clashed, but Madara captured Han and the Five-Tails, then drove both leaders to agree to a ceasefire.
  • Kagura and his companions left Amegakure, while Madara entered Konoha and tracked the Nine-Tails to Kushina.
  • Kagura returned to Konoha and found Madara extracting Kushina's chakra, then summoned six Tailed Beasts to fight Madara and his Six Paths.
  • Madara defeated the Tailed Beasts and prepared to strike Kagura, but Jiraiya and the others arrived as Minato found Kushina trapped by the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

Arc 16The Tablet and the Ninja Cats

After reviving Kushina and helping Minato become Hokage, Kagura gathered his friends for a New Year’s banquet before turning to the system’s missions to prepare for Madara. He found the Uchiha Stone Tablet, but the Ninja Cat Clan required him to pass their tests before he could take it.

  • Kagura revived Kushina with One's Own Life Reincarnation, then restored himself with Time Regression, and Minato and Kushina named their son Uzumaki Naruto.
  • Kagura helped Namikaze Minato become the Fourth Hokage as the villages recovered from Madara’s attack, and Tsunade gave birth to Uchiha Kiku.
  • Kagura hosted a New Year’s Eve banquet for his friends and their families, but Qianyu’s herb sauce poisoned the guests and earned him the nickname “Hellish Chef.”
  • Kagura reviewed the system’s missions and suspected that it was orchestrating events, then decided to investigate the Uchiha Stone Tablet in Naka Shrine.
