Advanced Grade Textbooks

"Good heavens, your experiences have opened my eyes! It makes me realize more and more that there are no shortcuts on the path of magic. Diligent practice will surely be rewarded." Professor Flitwick was so excited he could barely contain himself. Hearing Anduin's experiences only strengthened his resolve to delve deeper into magic.

"I agree with that sentiment, Professor Flitwick. Actually, I'm not satisfied with my current self. I sincerely hope to receive more guidance from you, Professor. I've pretty much mastered the content of the first academic year, and I hope to advance further." Seeing the professor so excited, Anduin thought it would be a shame not to seize this opportunity for some small benefits.

"Hmm, indeed. I won't tell you not to aim too high. Endless curiosity is truly the greatest driving force for wizards." Professor Flitwick nodded in strong agreement and continued.

"If you wish to learn some advanced spell knowledge, you can go to the Advanced Grade Spell Classroom. There are many old books left by senior students in the bookshelves there. Additionally, I will write a suitable reading list for you, and you can borrow them from the library yourself. Also, if you encounter any difficulties while learning spells, you can always come to me, and I will personally answer your questions." After Professor Flitwick finished speaking, he thought for a moment and then added.

"I'd like to invite you to join my Spell Learning Club. Although I've never invited a first-year student before, you can audit first. I believe you can keep up. You know, Lily also performed exceptionally well in my Spell Learning Club back then." Flitwick, perhaps overcome with excitement, almost treated Anduin as a student of his own house.

"Thank you very much, Professor Flitwick. Thank you for your recognition and appreciation." Anduin was deeply moved and bowed slightly to the professor, thanking him sincerely.

"Keep it up, Anduin. Persevere and work hard, your future is limitless!" Flitwick looked at the young wizard, who was taller than him, and exclaimed.

Anduin concluded his conversation with Professor Flitwick. Holding the reading list and club invitation letter from Professor Flitwick, he left the Spell Classroom with a heart full of joy.

To have such gains on the very first day of school was truly unimaginable.

"First, I'll do as Professor Flitwick said and search for some advanced textbooks in the higher-grade classrooms. After all, one must eat one bite at a time; I can't be too eager for quick success." After making his plan, Anduin headed to the Great Hall. After a casual lunch, he began wandering through the various higher-grade classrooms.

"Alohomora." Anduin cast the Unlock Charm at a 5th Grade Spell Classroom.

He had already searched in classrooms of multiple grades and had a great harvest. Each classroom's cabinets contained some old textbooks.

Some of them were incomplete; Anduin even found textbooks that were only half-burned. After prioritizing the relatively complete books, Anduin would briefly skim through their contents.

A few pages were missing from some textbooks. Anduin guessed that some mischievous young wizards might have torn them out to make paper airplanes. The complete textbooks varied; some had dense notes written in them. Anduin found that much of the content was quite insightful, making them undoubtedly more valuable than blank textbooks.

Anduin meticulously searched the remaining six grade classrooms and found seven very valuable textbooks. Why seven? Because two textbooks from the 6th grade contained very rich notes, with different content in each, but both were considered very valuable by Anduin.

He even found Lily Evans's spell textbook in a 5th Grade Classroom. It recorded many of Lily's understandings of spells. Most importantly, Anduin discovered many records about Protective Magic within it. Perhaps Lily had already conceived of an amulet at this time.

He cherished this book as a treasure. After carefully storing all the books, he realized it was almost time for afternoon classes. Anduin, holding the books, headed to the History of Magic classroom.

Anduin noticed that at Hogwarts, the classroom arrangements for each subject varied greatly. For the seven compulsory courses like Spellcasting, Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts, there were independent classrooms for each grade. Herbology was mostly taught in the greenhouses, and Astronomy was taught in the Astronomy Tower. As for History of Magic, which Anduin had assumed would have a classroom for each grade, there was only one.

He then understood why. It turned out that Professor Cuthbert Binns, who taught History of Magic, was a ghost.

"They say that many years ago, when Professor Binns was still alive, he was napping by the fireplace in the staff room one day. When he woke up and rushed to class, he forgot to bring his body with him. He died that night. But this minor issue didn't stop him from continuing to teach. There are rumors that he never even noticed he had died." Vivian was telling Anduin some gossip she had heard from who knows where, but Anduin thought it was likely true.

Looking at the ghost professor on the podium, who was explaining the history of the modern Magical World, Anduin fell into thought.

It seems that after becoming a ghost, memories don't just stop at one's lifetime. Because the history the professor is explaining clearly happened after his death.

However, Anduin's interest in this class was likely limited to this. Professor Binns's lectures were incredibly dull, and almost all the young wizards in the audience were drowsy. In contrast, Vivian was listening attentively with great energy.

Therefore, Anduin openly slacked off, directly opening a 2nd-grade textbook he had just found and reading it with great interest.

He walked down the corridor to the library and found Madam Pince. He borrowed all six books from Flitwick's reading list, along with the seven old textbooks, and took them back to his room. He planned to go into seclusion for a period to study these books.

Anduin still prioritized the advanced grade textbooks. After all, mastering the compulsory content first would make his foundation more solid. He found that the teaching content in the 3rd to 6th grade textbooks was rich in both quality and quantity. The 7th-grade content was limited in quantity but extremely profound in quality. It was said that in the 7th grade, students could choose to graduate early or do an internship. The remaining wizards could opt for the 'Ultimate Wizard Examination,' and most of the textbook content was related to it, including teaching materials for Apparition.

Two days passed. Anduin, feeling like he had found a treasure, spent almost all his time studying spells, except for attending classes.
