Anduin looked at the research topics appearing on the whiteboard, which immediately piqued his strong interest. Vanessa's cheeks flushed slightly as she stood up and nodded to everyone and the professor.

Anduin hadn't expected his senior to be such an academic achiever. He also heard about the academic publication 'Centuries of Charms' for the first time and wondered if he should subscribe to some issues.

"Alright, next we will collectively study 'Multifunctional Applications of the Extraction Charm.' In her paper, Vanessa describes combining the Extraction Charm with alchemical tools enchanted with the Extension Charm, which can be used for large-scale engineering operations. Additionally, there are techniques for accurately casting the Extraction Charm on specific objects, such as extracting moisture from the air. In large-scale casting, it can even affect the weather."

Next, Professor Flitwick pulled down a screen behind him, similar to a projection screen, and used magic to display the content of the paper. He meticulously analyzed the casting techniques and application prospects with everyone, and also asked Vanessa to assist with the explanation.

Vanessa stood at the front as if attending a thesis defense, explaining to everyone the original intention behind researching the Extraction Charm, the difficulties encountered during the research, and demonstrating the corresponding casting techniques.

Professor Flitwick first cast a spell in the center of the classroom, releasing a cloud of white smoke. Then, he used his wand to tap an ink bottle, creating a dense black fog from the ink. He mixed the two mists together, and to increase the difficulty, he continuously stirred the large mass of fog, making it impossible to distinguish between them.

It was then that Vanessa stepped forward. With exquisite spellcasting, she cast an Extraction Charm into the center of the dense fog. After a while, the fog changed. The originally light-blackened mist gradually faded, and soon it turned back into the initial white mist. At the tip of Vanessa's wand floated a ball of black ink, clearly having extracted the ink from the dense fog.

Vanessa completed the operation with a hint of shyness and a touch of pride. The people around her once again gave her a warm round of applause.

Vanessa replied with a hint of pride, "Thank you, Anduin. Study hard here, and I believe one day you'll catch up to me."

Anduin smiled noncommittally. He had to admit that this spellcasting technique was indeed very valuable and promising.

Even in the present moment, Anduin thought of several applications. The simplest would be like a water pump for engineering operations. In medicine, it could be used during surgery, for example, to extract foreign objects from the body.

It was also applicable in combat. If one could extract an opponent's blood or bones during a fight, it would be incredibly powerful.

What followed was a period of free study. Anduin carefully studied the Extraction Charm and the Directed Extraction Technique developed by Vanessa on the screen. However, he soon dismissed his earlier idea for combat applications. After his research, he discovered that the Extraction Charm was more practical when cast on static or non-living objects. When casting on living beings like humans, it required them to be basically incapacitated for the spell to succeed. Otherwise, any slight movement by the opponent would cause the spell to be interrupted.
