"What's hot pot?" Hagrid asked, puzzled by the unfamiliar term.
"It's something delicious. Just wait and see. First, let me deal with this beef," Anduin said confidently.
Anduin immediately took out his wand and directed the knives in Hagrid's room to cut up the beef. There was too much meat to eat all at once, so he sliced four large platters of beef, then hung the rest outside the cabin to freeze.
Then he took the large copper pot he'd bought in Chinatown out of his Linen Space Bag. He hadn't expected to use it so soon.
He picked a few pieces of charcoal from the fireplace and put them in the copper basin at the center of the pot. Then he added water, chopped some scallions and ginger into it, and let it boil. That was all there was to it.
Anduin took out a pair of chopsticks and said to Hagrid, "All right. Once the water boils, we'll swish the meat in it, then eat it with the sauce I made."
Hagrid sat at the table with a fork in hand. "That's it? How's that any different from ordinary boiled meat?"
"Try it and you'll see." Anduin smiled, saying no more.
Hagrid then began his first hot pot meal. The plain slices of meat, dipped in Anduin's Sesame Sauce, instantly filled his mouth with a complex, delicious flavor. Hagrid couldn't stop exclaiming over how good it was.
The two of them kept cooking meat in the pot and eating, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
After the meal, Hagrid burped contentedly and said, "You know how to do so many things, Anduin. It'd be great if you could live here."
