After saying that, he handed the books over to Anduin. Anduin took them and flipped through them briefly. He discovered that there were four books he had never seen before: two on Dark Magic, one on Potions, and one that was actually a collection of rune diagrams, containing many rare rune-combination formulas.
"Not bad. These four books will cover four months of your Protection fee. I'll return the originals after I've copied them. See? I'm pretty generous, aren't I?" Anduin said cheerfully.
At Anduin's words, Rosier's anxious heart finally eased a little. He quickly nodded in agreement.
"By the way, what about Travers? Has that guy been thinking of causing trouble for me lately? I did leave him lying in the Owlery for an entire afternoon, after all." Anduin put the books away and asked with a grin.
"He's tried to come after you more than once, but aside from class, you're practically a ghost. He can't find you at all. Lately, he's been hanging around with the upper-year students Wilkes and Yaxley, thinking all day about how to deal with Gryffindor," Rosier said honestly.
Anduin thought about it. He really had spent very little time in the castle lately. As soon as classes ended, he usually ran back to the Forbidden Forest Cabin to study magic. As for the conflict between them and Gryffindor, Anduin had no intention of getting involved. At first, he had thought their fights would leave them bloody, and had even gone to warn Charles. But then he realized that kids were just kids; their fights were no more than pranks. After that, Anduin couldn't be bothered to interfere.
