"Isn't this a bit risky? Aren't you worried Lockhart's reckless behavior might hurt the young wizards?" Anduin asked as he strolled over to the metal stand where Fawkes was resting, amusing himself by playing with the little phoenix.

"It'll do them good to learn things the hard way. But to be safe, we'll have to keep a close eye on him." Dumbledore turned to Anduin. "I know you've installed plenty of little spying devices around the school, so I'll have to trouble you with this important task."

Why did everything have to land on his shoulders? Did the old man really think he worked for free? And how could he still be slandering him? Anduin rolled his eyes.

"They're not for spying. You do know a House-elf has been sneaking into the school and causing trouble, right? If we don't keep a close eye on it, it could lead to a lot of trouble."

"Oh?" Dumbledore raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Have you learned anything?"

"That thing's probably after Harry, but I still don't know what it wants. It's extremely alert. The moment it notices anything amiss, it Apparates away."
