You Were in Charge

Colorful magical bolts streaked through the air above the Great Hall, clashing with one another. Some splashed against the surrounding walls, bursting into showers of sparks.

Others shot toward the spectators nearby. Fortunately, everyone was fairly nimble and could handle the magical bolts calmly, either dodging them or blocking them themselves.

Although this meant no one had been hurt so far, it still made the scene look extremely chaotic. Lockhart, the organizer, was even more startled by the duel's intensity.

Watching Harry and Ron darting around the dueling platform, he was beginning to question his entire life. Were they really students? How could they all be so powerful? And how come he had never seen a single one of the spells they were using?

Lockhart had been completely stunned, while Snape and Anduin stood by with their arms crossed. Harry and Ron had no idea how serious their actions were.

As the duel gradually reached a stalemate, the tension between them began to rise, and they stopped using low-level spells, switching instead to upgraded versions.

"Torrent! Giant Wave!"

"Storm Eye!"

Completely caught up in the duel, Harry and Ron kept channeling their magic. Spells like Giant Wave and Storm Eye, which the young wizards called Third-tier Spells, were a considerable strain even for them.

So after casting the two spells, both of them began charging up in place, straining until their faces turned red.

"This is bad!" Feeling the magic surging within them, Snape quickly turned to Anduin. "We need to stop them. At their level, they definitely can't control the spells they're casting! They're bound to hit someone else!"

"Don't worry..." Anduin smiled faintly. "I'm here, so nothing too serious will happen. Let them learn the hard way—and let everyone see what happens when you cast spells recklessly in
