Dumbledore had no idea that, in just one day, his school had acquired a new meme: "You can't compare one person's constitution to another's."
At that moment, he was crouched outside the Detention Room where suspects were held in the Ministry of Magic Auror Office, staring through the iron bars at the old hooligan, who looked utterly unconcerned.
"You..."
After a long silence, Dumbledore spoke, pinching the bridge of his nose in exasperation.
Who could have guessed that the highly skilled wizard Alastor Moody was also a boxing expert?
That punch had left Cornelius Fudge in such a state that
"pathetic" hardly did it justice.
"Not bad."
Moody chuckled, looking every bit the ruffian. With one bad leg and one blind eye, he hardly looked like a decent fellow.
Especially after punching Cornelius Fudge, he seemed to have been spiritually elevated. He looked just like a crime boss doing time in prison for the experience.
"You're still laughing? You think I'm complimenting you?"
Dumbledore pointed at the iron bars before him.
"You even dared to hit the Minister of Magic. I wonder what you wouldn't dare do."
"He had it coming!"
Just mentioning the old tortoise was enough to rile Moody up.
The moment he thought of him, his anger flared.
What had Cornelius Fudge done to a perfectly good Ministry of Magic?
Even the Aurors in the Auror's Office seemed to have lost their old vigor.
At this rate, it was only a matter of time before everything fell apart!
"And beating him up is supposed to solve the problem?"
Dumbledore was at a loss for words.
For attacking the Minister of Magic, Moody should have been sent to Azkaban. Granted, Azkaban was practically empty now, with even the Dementors transferred elsewhere, but it still wasn't a pleasant place.
