When he heard the news, Dumbledore's expression turned serious.

"Take me there!"

Samuel didn't refuse. This was exactly why he'd asked Dumbledore to come help.

After giving the driver a quick instruction, the group turned around and headed to the crime scene.

The thing on the ground was unmistakably an arm, pure white as jade, as though it had been drained of every last drop of blood!

"What is this?"

Anxious, Samuel started forward without thinking.

But Dumbledore grabbed him and held him back.

That was certainly possible.

Leaving an intentional opening and laying a vicious curse on it would be perfectly in character.
