Lu Yuan heard the concern in his words. He glanced at him, and much of the heaviness in his heart dissipated. Lu Yuan smiled.
"I'm fine. You should have felt it inside the barrier too. Instead of worrying about me, suspend all missions as soon as you get back and recover your sanity first. That's an order."
The Night Watchers nodded.
On the way to the carriage, one of the younger Night Watchers finally couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Captain Lu, are you really Second Order?"
His tone carried the bewilderment of having his understanding overturned.
"How is your sanity so absurd? I could feel it inside the barrier. Your output alone was equivalent to three or four of us."
Another slightly older Night Watcher shot him a look. "So ignorant. Captain Lu's sanity is at least at the level of Fourth Order."
Lu Yuan waved a hand.
"The bonuses brought by a Path can't be directly taught. But I do have some experience with sanity cultivation. We can talk sometime if there's a chance. It might help you."
Several Night Watchers' eyes lit up almost at the same time.
"Alright! Captain Lu, you said it! Don't you dare back out when the time comes!"
"I want in too!"
"Count me in!"
The one with the nosebleed laughed as well. Though his face was pale, he looked much more spirited. "Captain, if you teach us, I'll buy you a drink."
The atmosphere relaxed after the tension.
Lu Yuan did not continue the conversation. He simply followed everyone toward the carriage.
The matter of teaching them was not entirely empty politeness.
He planned to use this as an excuse to pry the Night Watchers' sanity cultivation methods out of Klaus.
Lu Yuan did not believe Klaus lacked experience in that area.
