That afternoon, he made another trip to the logistics storeroom and took some copper-shell rounds and Holy Water.
On his way back, he saw through the window that Boer was walking around the backyard with Dunn and Jurgen, saying something as they went. Dunn followed half a step behind Boer, nodding from time to time.
Lu Yuan sat by the window with his eyes closed, cultivating defense. As his consciousness sank into the River of Sanity, the Symbiotic Link suddenly became active.
The Worm of Knowledge extended a faint sensory tendril from deep within his left eye. It paused in a certain direction for less than a second before withdrawing.
Lu Yuan had never seen such a reaction before.
Instinctively, he looked at the Worm of Knowledge. Half its body was currently sticking out from Lu Yuan's left eye, looking around as though searching for something.
"What did you sense?" Lu Yuan asked the Worm of Knowledge through the Symbiotic Link.
"Gurgle, gurgle." The Worm of Knowledge floated out from before his left eye and circled twice in the air.
It seemed to mean that it had sensed the aura of the Sea of Knowledge, but it had vanished in an instant.
Lu Yuan looked in the direction indicated by the Worm of Knowledge. It was the inner city.
Lu Yuan understood immediately. I hope tomorrow's meeting doesn't go too badly. The Earl and Klaus had better be thoroughly prepared.
After all, if they could wipe out everyone at the meeting in one stroke, Bronze City would exist in name only.
Lu Yuan gazed into the distance, then silently withdrew his gaze. After circling in front of him a few times, the Worm of Knowledge retreated again.
Early the next morning.
Gray-White Text appeared at the edge of his vision.
