Leike stared at the Green Crystal in Klaus's hand and fell silent for two seconds.
"You left Tracking Marks on them?"
Klaus nodded, his tone calm.
"Three Afterimages shattered. There had to be some return."
He leaned against the headboard, his face gray-white, but his gaze clear.
"I can forcibly activate the things inside their bodies and lock onto their locations for a period of time."
"The Grey Covenant has been hiding in Bronze City for so long." Klaus closed his eyes, his voice weary but heavy at the end. "It's time they paid the price."
Leike and Lu Yuan exchanged a glance.
While being besieged by three Fourth Orders, Klaus had been willing to expend three Afterimages just to get close enough to seize Jie and Nine. It turned out he had not merely wanted to seriously injure them.
He had been laying the groundwork from the start.
Leike said nothing more and carefully put away the Green Crystal.
"Although this crystal cannot actively detect anything, it can passively detect them." Klaus closed his eyes. "Keep an eye on it while you're in the Pipe Network. If it lights up, it means members of the Grey Covenant are nearby."
