The next moment, the surging flesh rose violently from the bottom of The Abyss and lunged at them with unstoppable force.
The instant the flesh crashed down, Klaus yanked his arm sharply, and Lu Yuan's vision plunged into darkness once more.

Klaus stood beside him. A chunk had been carved from the right shoulder of his Bone Armor, exposing the flesh beneath. Dark green Crystal was spreading over the wound, sealing it shut.
Klaus had also been grazed by the flesh.
He lowered his head for a glance, confirming that the wound showed no signs of contamination. Then he checked Lu Yuan's back, and only after confirming he was unharmed did he hurry upward.
The sounds of battle carried over from a dozen or so steps away.
The Blue Knight was still wrestling with the Colossus using the threads around her body, while purple-black Flame blazed fiercely.
Adrian's Jet-Black Wings were wrapped in nearly endless black flames, burning wildly against the Colossus's body.
But Lu Yuan had no time to look any further.
A rapid squelching sound came from the passage behind them. Dark red flesh was pouring crazily from its depths, lunging toward him and Klaus.
That thing had caught up.
Klaus reacted far faster than Lu Yuan.
Bone
