The first to be evaluated was a girl standing at the very front. Aside from Lu Yuan, she was the other person who had chosen Eerie materials to make a tool. Her Pathway was likely related to Eerie Inscription Studies as well.
She had made a finger guard, its body fashioned from some kind of Eerie spine. She had polished and bonded the vertebrae together, carved countless crooked black inscriptions across them, then combined them with a powder ground from a material even Lu Yuan could not identify, creating a three-segment finger guard.
The guard fit over the base of a finger, covering half of it. It was dark and grim, and looked like bad news.
Its appearance might have been rather Eerie, but its ability seemed decent enough.
The String Knight picked up the finger guard and infused it with sanity. The patterns on it immediately began to move, as though they had come alive, gathering at the very tip of the guard.
The next moment, a pitch-black beam shot out, instantly plowing through the ruins in the distance that had just been blasted apart.
Wherever the beam swept, another charred trench was carved into the ground.
The beam was very thin, however, so the damage it caused was not particularly great.
The instant the beam fired, one of the finger guard's three segments crumbled directly into powder.
"Not bad, but the backlash and impact on sanity are a little too strong. It barely passes, I suppose. What do you all think?" The String Knight felt the lingering inscription marks on his hand and nodded.
Everyone gathered together and began discussing it.
"I'd like to add something," the girl stepped forward and said. "This uses an Eerie spine, which is a common material. So its actual production and crafting
