In the predawn hours, Old Morgan returned to the Night Watcher base and sought out Lu Yuan.
After a brief rest, Lu Yuan had recovered quite a bit.

"The meeting's conclusion." Old Morgan got straight to the point. "We'll conduct a joint maritime investigation. The Ascension Society will provide the ship."
Old Morgan then spread out a nautical chart and pointed at the markings on it.
"There are two objectives."
"First: the waters where the Iron Whale was wrecked. Confirm the Iron Whale's condition and search for clues."
"Second: confirm the island's location, determine whether it is a Deep Sea Church stronghold, and search for traces of ritual activity."
"What about the timing?" Lu Yuan asked.
"We leave at dawn tomorrow." Old Morgan's expression was grave. "This is urgent. We can't delay any longer."
Lu Yuan fell silent for a moment, then rose to his feet and spoke first.
"I'm going."
Old Morgan looked at him but did not answer immediately.
Lu Yuan met Old Morgan's gaze.
"I provided part of the intelligence this time, so I have to be on the roster for this operation. And the source of the Strange Dream is over there. If I don't resolve it, it'll always remain a hidden danger."
Old Morgan looked at the young man before him, his expression complicated.
