Ch. 1681Epic Quest! Fall of the Eagle

Bai Xiaowen planned to delay the Song–Mongol War by assassinating Temüjin, triggering the Epic Tier quest [Fall of the Eagle]. As he weighed the difficulty of killing the King Tier Great Khan, Temüjin prepared a southern campaign and welcomed his grandson Ariq Böke into his tent.

  • Bai Xiaowen met with the Four Heavenly Kings and said he would create an incident in the Shaoding Plane while turning his attention to a more difficult plane.
  • Bai Xiaowen revealed his plan to assassinate Genghis Khan, hoping Temüjin’s death would divide the Mongols and delay their southern campaign.
  • The Spirit Realm activated the Epic Tier quest [Fall of the Eagle], requiring Bai Xiaowen to kill Temüjin for a reward of 2,000 Spirit Crystals.
  • Temüjin learned that Tachar had been killed near Caihezhuang and ordered that the village be avenged, then outlined plans for a three-route invasion of the south.
  • Ariq Böke entered Temüjin’s golden tent, and Temüjin greeted his favored grandson affectionately.

Ch. 1682Falcon

Temüjin took Ariq Böke on a hunt in the Altai Mountains to see two supposedly enormous eagles, but the birds proved powerful enough to deflect his arrow. As something fell from the sky toward Temüjin, Jebe warned him to be careful.

  • Ariq Böke persuaded Temüjin to hunt two giant eagles said to live in the Altai Mountains.
  • Temüjin led his sons, grandsons, Jebe, and Mongol warriors to the mountains and challenged them to shoot down the eagles.

  • Jebe warned Temüjin as an object hurtled down from the sky toward his forehead.

Ch. 1683Encirclement Kill! The Plan Begins

Temüjin pursued two apparent giant eagles, only to discover that they were people leading him into an ambush. After Temüjin sent up a signal arrow, Bai Xiaowen led the Five Elements Banners against Jebe and the hunting party while six Lords trapped Temüjin.

  • Temüjin evaded a lump of bird droppings, then chased the giant eagles west to capture and tame them.
  • After riding ahead of his hunting party, Temüjin encountered four powerful fighters and discovered that the eagles were a man and a woman disguised beneath Plumes.
  • Temüjin fired a signal arrow and demanded to know who had sent the ambushers, while the black-armored knight raised his lance against him.
  • Jebe saw the signal arrow, ordered the Mongol hunting party into formation, and spotted Bai Xiaowen leading martial artists out of a valley.
  • Bai Xiaowen used Military Prestige to weaken the hunting party, then began an attack with the Five Elements Banners.

Ch. 1684Annihilation

Bai Xiaowen defeated Jebe and the Mongol princes, then hurried west to join the six lords fighting Temüjin. Temüjin was wounded and tiring, but still held the advantage as Bai Xiaowen arrived with Ariq Böke under his control.

  • Bai Xiaowen used the Five Elements Banners to withstand Jebe’s attacks and killed Jebe, Chagatai, and the other Mongol warriors.
  • Bai Xiaowen kept Ariq Böke under the Heart-Confounding Talisman’s control and headed west with the Five Elements Banners Warriors.
  • Temüjin and the six lords continued their battle, with Temüjin wounded and depleted while most of the lords were hurt and had spent over half their Spirit Force.
  • Ariq Böke arrived at the battlefield pretending to flee Jebe’s pursuit, and Temüjin rescued him and asked where Jebe was.
  • Ariq Böke told Temüjin that Jebe had returned to camp, and Temüjin believed the Mongol army would soon arrive.
  • Bai Xiaowen arrived with his remaining warriors and ordered them to kill Temüjin quickly, while Temüjin had to protect Ariq Böke during the fight.

Ch. 1685Complete the Kill!

Ch. 1686Divine Artifact

Bai Xiaowen escaped the Mongol pursuit after killing Temüjin and completed the quest Fall of the Eagle. He examined his rewards and discovered that Temüjin's necklace was a sealed divine artifact whose powerful blessings came with a dangerous curse for anyone who was not a chosen child of the steppe.

  • Ögedei, Tolui, and the Mongol army found the site of Temüjin's disappearance, but Bai Xiaowen's group had already escaped through a teleportation formation.
  • Kököchu identified the formation, but planted Detonation Talismans destroyed it before he could locate its destination; Jochi and Ögedei began considering the succession struggle.

Ch. 1687Emperor Lizong of Song's Fear

Bai Xiaowen considered the equipment and token he had taken from Temüjin, while Emperor Lizong learned that the Mongol leader had been killed and feared the power of the Eternal Life Sect’s master. Shi Miyuan urged the emperor to win Lu Wang’s favor with rare treasures, leaving Zhao Yun ready to cultivate an alliance.

  • Bai Xiaowen examined his haul from Temüjin, including the cursed Eternal Heaven's Blessing, the Golden Wolf Token, and a wineskin of fermented mare's milk.
  • Emperor Lizong told Shi Miyuan that an unknown visitor had left a letter and Temüjin's Golden Wolf Token in his bedchamber.
  • Shi Miyuan confirmed that Lu Wang could plausibly have killed Temüjin and described the Eternal Life Sect as a powerful ally of the Great Song.
  • Emperor Lizong worried that Lu Wang could threaten his life, and Shi Miyuan advised him to establish friendly relations through Gu Long.

  • The Queen Bee explained that dragonhide was scarce and that new portals could only be built while the Blackfang Domain Secret Realm was open, while Candice mentioned Resonance Arrays as an alternative.
  • Bai Xiaowen offered the White Phoenix Fief’s portal for future cooperation with the Queen Bee, and she agreed to discuss terms after his expedition to the Dark Age Plane.
  • Candice gave Bai Xiaowen a booklet describing a world where demons dominated the continent, humans survived in scattered settlements, and demons could be reborn after death.
  • Candice explained that demons’ chaotic nature and rivalries kept them from uniting against humanity, while the Queen Bee said Meng Chuan’s Heavenly Prefecture Territory had likely joined the demon faction.
  • The Queen Bee advised Bai Xiaowen to destroy Heavenly Prefecture Territory’s Resonance Array, but Bai Xiaowen resolved to discover how Meng Chuan controlled demons and gain that ability himself.

Ch. 1690Incursion, Blackwater River

  • Bai Xiaowen encountered several humanoid monsters and identified them as level 17 Elite Demonized Hunters.

Ch. 1691Golden Last Wish

Bai Xiaowen fought off a group of Demonized Hunters and discovered that the Death God's Visage absorbed the soul of one he killed. A message hidden in a damaged golden pocket watch activated the [Golden Last Wish] quest, and Bai Xiaowen set off to find Daphne Freyval.

  • Bai Xiaowen arrived at Utu Town and asked its guards whether they knew Daphne Freyval, using the damaged gold pocket watch as evidence.
  • Bai Xiaowen realized Daphne might have grown up and left town, then tried to show the guards her portrait, but they stopped him and raised their spears.
  • Bai Xiaowen used Intimidation on the guards until Herbart arrived and asked him to put away his sorcery.
  • Herbart recognized the pocket watch as Captain Ebin’s keepsake and identified the girl in its portrait as Daphne Freyval.
  • Herbart told Bai Xiaowen that Daphne was now called Kelowen, a witch and prophet who had studied under the late great sage Erasmus; Bai Xiaowen’s mission updated accordingly.
  • Herbart offered to bring Kelowen to meet Bai Xiaowen outside the gate but said he could not enter Utu Town.

Ch. 1695The Witch Kelowen

  • Kelowen explained that the second prophecy symbolized Bai Xiaowen killing the Silver King Ismen, while Erasmus had left the final prophecy, “The Savior Hristos's Destiny,” incomplete.
  • Bai Xiaowen revealed that he came from another dimension and could eradicate demons, but asked what practical support the humans could offer him.
  • Kelowen offered intelligence and herself, but Bai Xiaowen refused her personal offer and asked whether she could rally other powerful humans.

  • Bai Xiaowen left the Spirit Hut to learn about nearby demon forces, then found a message from Sigrdrifa and the others on a Thousand-Li Voice Transmission Talisman.

Ch. 1698Ultimate Mission! Divine Scion Side Quest

Bai Xiaowen advised Sigrdrifa to use surrendered Lesser Imps as expendable troops and agreed to join the Three Heavenly Kings in attacking Demon Lord Feishan. The Spirit Realm Rules then activated a Divine-Scion Tier quest to kill Feishan, leading Bai Xiaowen to suspect the Supreme Demon Kings were Divine Scions.

  • Sigrdrifa reported that the Three Heavenly Kings had killed a Destroyer Demon and found about a hundred Lesser Imps willing to surrender.
  • Sigrdrifa proposed using the Lesser Imps as cannon fodder before turning their corpses into undead servants, and Bai Xiaowen praised her judgment.
  • Sigrdrifa revealed that the gathering point belonged to Demon Lord Feishan, whose territory lay about five hundred kilometers away, and Bai Xiaowen agreed to join the attack.
  • Bai Xiaowen explained that the Silver King Ismen's rule made the demons in the region more organized than demons elsewhere.
  • The Spirit Realm Rules activated the Divine-Scion Tier quest Savior's Proof, requiring Bai Xiaowen to permanently destroy Feishan for a reward of 750 Spirit Crystals.
  • Bai Xiaowen concluded that the Supreme Demon Kings were likely Divine Scions and reflected on how formidable true Divine Scions were at the Evolver stage.

Ch. 1699Demon Lord: Feishan

Ch. 1700Demon Civil War

Bai Xiaowen and Sigrdrifa discovered that a powerful third party was monitoring Feishan’s demon civil war, so Bai chose to intervene through an undead army while keeping himself hidden. As the two demon Lords’ elite forces clashed, Sigrdrifa prepared to lead the undead into battle.

  • Bai Xiaowen showed Sigrdrifa that Feishan was a ten-meter Lava Colossus commanding smaller Lava Colossi.
  • Bai Xiaowen and Sigrdrifa identified an emerald Surveillance Eye above the battlefield and reasoned that a stronger demon, possibly one of the Seven Demon Kings, had planted it.
  • Bai Xiaowen decided not to destroy the Surveillance Eye or abandon the ambush, and planned to have Sigrdrifa lead the undead against both demon armies while he stayed hidden.
  • Feishan and the Six-Armed Pain Demon Lord deployed their elite troops, the Lava Colossi and Destroyer Demons, and the forces collided in the center of the battlefield.

Ch. 1701Entry
