Observation at the Briefing Session

After Horikita Manabu finished speaking, he gave the students no further opportunity to ask questions. His expression remained cold as he walked off the stage, passed through the main entrance, and left the gymnasium.

As his figure disappeared outside, the ice layers on everyone in the gymnasium began to slowly dissipate, as if his ability was closely tied to his will.

Itozawa stood to the side, sighing inwardly. He thought to himself, people really need comparison. If he had only seen Tachibana Senpai at noon, he might have thought she was a cold and heartless person. But compared to Horikita Manabu's recent actions, she seemed so gentle and lovely.

The atmosphere in the gymnasium gradually regained its liveliness. Students began to move towards the various booths, discussing and laughing.

Itozawa, Ichinose, and Kanzaki walked around the gymnasium, discussing their choices. Their eyes scanned the different booths as they talked about their interests and potential options.

Kanzaki suddenly proposed an idea, "Why don't we start a new Interest Club ourselves?" His voice held a hint of playfulness, as if he was excited by the idea.

Itozawa shook his head, his expression serious and calm. "Starting an Interest Club is too troublesome. And if there isn't a suitable Interest Club, we might as well apply to join the Student Council directly."

But his thoughts went beyond that. From Horikita Manabu's explanation, the Student Council's power was even greater than in the original work, so he naturally wanted to try joining.

Moreover, he worried that if Nagumo Miyabi could contend with Horikita Manabu as in the original work, then the supervision of the Interest Clubs would definitely fall into his hands.

Given Nagumo Miyabi's style, he couldn't guarantee that a new Interest Club would develop smoothly.

Ichinose patted Kanzaki's shoulder, a hint of gratitude in her smile. "Thank you, Kanzaki."

Itozawa, Ichinose, and Kanzaki circled the gymnasium but couldn't find the Student Council's booth. Their gazes swept through the crowded hall but failed to spot any Student Council insignia.

"It seems the Student Council didn't set up a booth," Itozawa mused, his eyes searching the venue but finding nothing.

Kanzaki put his hands in his pockets and shrugged casually. "Perhaps they have another way of registering, or maybe they don't need a booth at all."

Ichinose's gaze was firm as she proposed a direct approach. "We can go directly to the Host, the Student Council Secretary, Tachibana Senpai, and ask her how to join the Student Council."

Itozawa nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea, Ichinose. You ask."

Ichinose walked towards Tachibana Akane with a smile, her steps light and confident. Tachibana Akane stood to the side, observing the situation in the gymnasium. Ichinose approached her and politely asked, "Tachibana Senpai, we'd like to inquire about joining the Student Council."

Upon hearing Ichinose's request, Tachibana Akane smiled slightly, as if she had been expecting it. As if by magic, she produced two application forms from behind her back and handed them to Ichinose. "Here are the application forms. You need to fill in this information."

Ichinose was a little surprised. "Huh? We haven't even said how many of us are applying, so how did you know it was two people?"

Tachibana Akane smiled faintly. "That's a secret."

Tachibana Akane nodded with a smile, her gaze shifting to Itozawa and Kanzaki, as if assessing their resolve and abilities. Itozawa and Kanzaki also nodded to her, expressing their gratitude.

After receiving the application forms, Itozawa, Ichinose, and Kanzaki didn't rush to leave the gymnasium. They decided to stay and observe the choices of other students, as well as assess the situation of students from other classes. This would not only allow them to better understand the school's atmosphere but also help them identify potential rivals and partners.

They looked around and noticed that the booths for Body Ability and Object-type Ability clubs were crowded with enthusiastic students inquiring and signing up.

In contrast, the Spirit Ability booth had fewer people, and the Mind-Type and Brain-Type booths were practically deserted. As for Spacetime-type, there wasn't even a club for it.

It seemed that Spirit Ability Users were indeed few in number, which explained why there was only one Mind-Type club, and it had to be affiliated with a Body Ability club to attract members.

As they were observing, Itozawa's gaze was suddenly drawn to a familiar figure. He saw Ryuen Kakeru heading towards the Spirit Ability club booth, which surprised him.

Itozawa had long known that Ryuen Kakeru was not a Body Ability User, but he had never imagined Ryuen Kakeru would be a Spirit Ability User. Ryuen Kakeru was known for his strong-willed and direct approach, and the type of his ability had always been a subject of Itozawa's curiosity.

Ichinose also noticed Ryuen Kakeru's movement and said softly to Itozawa, "I didn't expect Ryuen Kakeru to be a Spirit Ability User."

Itozawa nodded, a thoughtful glint in his eyes. "Indeed. I always thought he'd be an Object-type User, especially since some Object-type abilities can enhance one's body."

Kanzaki observed silently from the side, his gaze shifting between Ryuen Kakeru and other students, as if searching for something. He suddenly spoke, "Most of Class C are Body Ability Users, and they all seem rather unruly. It's impressive that Ryuen Kakeru, a Spirit Ability User, can command them. His Spirit Ability must be extraordinary."

Both Itozawa and Ichinose agreed with Kanzaki's assessment. They knew that understanding the distribution of abilities within each class was crucial for their standing in the school.

Soon, they reached new conclusions.

Itozawa's gaze lingered on the students of Class D, as Ayanokouji was still in Class D, so observing them was essential.

He noticed that many of them were gathered around the Object-type Ability club booth, indicating that Class D had a majority of Object-type Ability Users.

Meanwhile, Ichinose's attention was focused on the students of Class A. She observed that when choosing clubs, Class A students tended to favor those related to Spirit Abilities.

It seemed they were mostly Spirit Ability Users.

Itozawa and Ichinose exchanged their observations, gaining a deeper understanding of the school's class divisions. It appeared that the school itself had subtly established a hierarchy based on ability types.

This led them to wonder if future assessments would be more focused on Spirit Abilities.

If so, Class B might be at a disadvantage.
