Mid-June, two and a half months had passed since the new students enrolled.

In the First Year Class D classroom, many students waiting for class were in low spirits.

This was because when the Class Points were announced at the beginning of June, they had, as expected, received a dismal score of 0 points.

And after the class meeting, Horikita Suzune delivered even worse news.

Although the students of Class D had performed well in the mid-term exams at the end of May, with no one failing (Sudo's failing status had disappeared), due to Yamauchi Haruki's expulsion, it was certain that all the Class Points awarded to Class D for the mid-term exams had been deducted.

Chabashira Sae's response at the time in May was that there was no way to increase Class Points in June.

Amidst the painful anxiety of the Class D students, Horikita delivered her verdict:

Not only would June be 0 points, but it was also evident that July would also be 0 points for Class D.

The reward for Class D's revelry in April was a full three months of 0 points in May, June, and July!

How could they not fall into extreme despair?

Even if they borrowed Private Points from friends in the class to get by, in such a situation, who could perfectly act selflessly?

Ike Kanji: "Damn it, it's all that idiot Yamauchi's fault. If it weren't for him, our mid-term exam scores were so good, why would we have no points in June and July?"

Tendo Ryotaro: "Yeah, I feel like the school put trash like Yamauchi in our class and ruined us! Don't we need any compensation? It's not our fault."

Chabashira Sae, dressed elegantly, walked into the Class D classroom.

"Quiet, everyone sit down. There's a major announcement, and it's good news for you."

Chabashira Sae entered the classroom with a slight smile.

She hadn't expected that Class D this year would not only have one student expelled in the first month (starting from May) but would also be given such a special preferential exam during the stable first semester.

Ike Kanji excitedly said, "Sae-chan, good news? Hurry up and tell us!"

"You must all be aware that one person was expelled from Class D last month, which resulted in the points you originally earned in the mid-term exams being wiped clean this month."

The faces of the Class D students turned grim, and they hung their heads.

"Lift your heads!" Chabashira Sae's sharp voice rang out.

"Now, I will announce the details of the special preferential exam added at the end of June, the rules of the 'Tian Shu Sha'!"

"A special additional exam!?"

"What did she just say... what kill?"

"I think it's called Tian Shu Sha. Why do I feel like I've played a game with a similar name online before?"

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka's eyelids drooped slightly.

Preferential treatment? Could it be an unfair assessment?

Chabashira Sae took out a large poster and stuck it on the blackboard, covered with dense rules.

She also held up a rulebook, "Later, you will send two people to the office to collect this detailed exam rulebook from me. Everyone will get a copy. Now be quiet and listen as I explain the specific rules of this special exam."

The students fell silent.

Chabashira Sae paused for a moment, "This additional special preferential exam will be held on the last Friday of June and is called 'Tian Shu Sha'..."

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka listened intently, organizing the rules in his mind.

Tian Shu Sha Rules --

1. Number of Participants:

Class A, B, and C will each send 4 people, while Class D will send 8 people, for a total of 20 participants;

Four matches will be held simultaneously, with each match conducted independently;

Each match will consist of a group of 5 players, with 1 person from Class A, B, and C, and 2 people from Class D.

2. Game Rules:

Time:

Each match will last 2 hours, and each player's turn cannot exceed 5 minutes per round.

Roles:

There are 4 types of roles in each match: 1 Lord, 1 Loyalist, 2 Rebels, and 1 Traitor;

Each class will receive one "Lord Card," and the player holding the Lord Card will definitely be the "Lord" in that match;

Apart from the Lord, the other roles will be fairly assigned by the school;

The Lord will be in position 1, and the other roles will be randomly arranged in positions 2, 3, 4, and 5, proceeding clockwise in a circular formation.

Health:

Lord: 5, Loyalist: 4 (effective 3), Rebel: 4, Traitor: 4 (effective 5).

Gameplay:

Each person can play one "Kill" card per turn. A normal kill will deduct 1 health point from the opponent (under special rules, it can be 2 health damage).

You can only use "Kill" once per turn on a target player whose distance is greater than or equal to yours. You may choose not to use "Kill" this turn.

Each person starts with only one "Dodge" opportunity (this can be increased under special rules, with a maximum of one "Dodge" held at a time). "Dodge" can evade all damage from one "Kill."

Distance:

Everyone starts with a distance of 11111 (corresponding to positions 12345).

At the start of each turn, one Distance Card is randomly distributed to each player.

There are 5 types of Distance Cards: one +2, two +1, and two -1.

The distance can change by a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 2.

When attacking a target other than the adjacent player, subtract 1 from the distance calculation.

After calculating the distance, you can only use "Kill" if your distance is greater than or equal to the opponent's.

When there are players with a distance of 0 on the field, they are guaranteed to draw a positive Distance Card.

3. Winning the Game:

Lord and Loyalist are on the same team. If this team wins (by eliminating the other three factions), the Lord's class will receive +25 Class Points and +250,000 Private Points. The Loyalist will receive points based on a weight of 10. The three players from the other three factions will each receive points based on a weight of 5.

Rebel and Rebel are on the same team. If this team wins (by eliminating the Lord), the Rebel who killed the Lord's class will receive +20 Class Points and +200,000 Private Points. The other Rebel will receive points based on a weight of 15. The three players from the other three factions will each receive points based on a weight of 5.

Traitor is alone in their own faction. If this faction wins (by eliminating the other three factions), the Traitor's class will receive +30 Class Points and +300,000 Private Points. The other four players from the other three factions will each receive points based on a weight of 5.

4. Special Rules:

When the Traitor's 4 HP is depleted, they will enter a Coma state and revive in the next round in turn order. After reviving, they will participate normally in the game (revival in the next turn order after death adds 1 HP).

When the Loyalist's 3 HP is depleted, they will enter a Reincarnation state. If they survive until the next round, they will inevitably die at the end of the current Reincarnation turn (the 4th HP can only survive for two turns).

The player who kills a Rebel will have their next "Kill" damage increased by 1, and their hidden Dodge count will increase by 1.

If the Lord kills a Loyalist (specifically, if the Loyalist's third HP was depleted by the Lord's "Kill" before they Reincarnated), the Lord will lose all their Dodge opportunities and -1 HP.

When a Rebel dies, their identity will not be revealed. The +1 damage bonus will be determined by the killer.

If a Loyalist in the Reincarnation state is killed midway, their identity will be revealed.

The Traitor's identity will be revealed after they revive.

During the game, all players can communicate at any time. The player whose turn it is can end their turn by confirming the command "End Turn."

The moment an identity player truly dies, all players must remain silent for the rest of the game until the end.

Anyone who violates the above rules will forfeit all rewards for this game.

After the Class D meeting ended, everyone was discussing the special exam rules.

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka also fell into deep thought...

8v4v4v4, this was undoubtedly an exam that favored Class D.

Luck also played a very large role. It was a game that required adapting to the actual Distance Cards and battle situation to maximize benefits.

"I remember this! Isn't this the popular foreign game 'SG Kill'? I played it for a while. This is very similar to a standard five-player match!"

Miyamoto Soshi, Class D's gaming expert, suddenly exclaimed.

"Three Kingdoms? Is it the Three Kingdoms I know?" Miyamoto nodded.

Ayanokoji also took out his terminal and searched for information on the game Miyamoto mentioned, which he was unfamiliar with.

"It really is very similar. Unfortunately, we don't have smartphones, so we can only watch, not play."

Horikita Suzune, who had gradually gained some status in the aftermath of the previous Yamauchi incident and the gender conflict, walked onto the stage and spoke:

"Everyone, please be quiet for a moment. Regardless of how similar this exam is to any game, our most crucial task right now is to select the 8 participants from our class."

"We'll start discussing after Hirata goes to the office to retrieve the data booklet."

Kushida Kikyo, who had been sitting quietly in her seat, calmly interjected, "Horikita is right. If Class D doesn't want to have zero Private Points next month, you'd best follow the instructions of your class leaders now."

Everyone then waited with mixed feelings...
