Background / History

Horikita is the younger sister of Student Council President Horikita Manabu. At the beginning of the school year, she measures herself against her brother’s example and pursues self-reliance as the posture of a “true strong person.” Her fixation on his strength leaves her dismissive of classmates she considers incapable and unable to empathize with them. 5 10

Her early attempts to intervene in class affairs fail because of her harsh wording and isolation. When she tries to address the class, Kushida’s supporters resist her, Hirata urges her to be more careful with her words, and Sudo escalates the confrontation. 17 18
