Xu Jiujiu's Invitation
Just as Xu Jiujiu was looking up at the Spirit Pagoda in front of her with mixed feelings, a voice suddenly came from beside her.
"Princess Jiujiu, are you here to see the Tower Master?"
Xu Jiujiu turned his head slightly, his gaze falling on the young man who had appeared beside him at some point.
He looked to be in his early twenties, with handsome features, clear and distinct facial contours, and eyes as calm as a deep pool.
His long, jet-black hair was casually tied back with a simple headband, with a few stray strands falling across his forehead, which made his face appear even more aloof and cold.
However, his face was unhealthy and pale, as if he had just recovered from a serious illness.
Xu Jiujiu, confirming that he had never seen this face before, he frowned slightly, his tone carrying just the right amount of wariness and politeness. "Who are you?"
The young man looked at her expressionlessly, his tone as flat as water. "The Sun Moon Spirit Pagoda, Ji Juechen."
Ji Juechen is a name that Xu Jiujiu, but if mentioned in the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy, many people will remember him.
He was an anomaly in the academy. While almost all the students were engrossed in studying Soul Tool, he only focused on cultivating his own Sword Martial Soul, showing no interest in the intricate structure and energy circuits of Soul Tool.
What's even more remarkable is that his Innate Soul Power is only level three, leading almost everyone to believe that he will be stuck as a low-level Soul Master for life.
Yet, through sheer dedication to the sword, he managed to reach the Soul Emperor. To have such cultivation at less than thirty years old is nothing short of a miracle.
After the Sun Moon Spirit Pagoda was completed, Huo Yuhao personally found him and invited him to join the Spirit Pagoda.
Ji Juechen initially refused, as he had always been a loner and had no interest in the so-called "joining the organization."
But after fighting Huo Yuhao, Ji Juechen changed his mind. He was convinced of his defeat and realized that there was something he needed to catch up with in the Spirit Pagoda Tower Master.
Having joined the Spirit Pagoda, he considered himself a member of the pagoda and naturally learned about the Tower Master, Huo Yuhao.
Princess Xu Jiujiu of the Star Luo Empire, who played an important role in the construction of the first Spirit Pagoda on the continent, was naturally indispensable, so he recognized her almost Xu Jiujiu.
Xu Jiujiu, he looked at Ji Juechen's calm face and said directly, "That's right, I'm here to see Huo Yuhao."
Ji Juechen nodded. "Please follow me."
Having said that, he turned and started walking towards the gate of the Spirit Pagoda.
Xu Jiujiu brief pause, she followed him, and the two entered the hall on the first floor of the Spirit Pagoda one after the other.
Sunlight streamed in from outside, spreading across the polished floor of the hall.
Xu Jiujiu, his gaze swept around the surroundings, and a sense of familiarity arose in his heart.
The Sun Moon Spirit Pagoda and the Star Luo Empire's Spirit Pagoda were built according to the same blueprint. Whether it was the height of the hall, the spacing of the pillars, or the location of the reception desk and the details of the decorations, they were almost identical.
If it weren't for the different scenery outside the window, she might even have had the illusion of returning to the Star Luo Empire.
Ji Juechen walked to the front desk in the lobby and stopped. Xu Jiujiu, he picked up a rectangular object from the table.
It is dark gray all over, about the size of an adult's palm, with a thin cable extending from its bottom, connecting to the area below the front desk.
Ji Juechen held it to his ear, and after a moment said, "Tower Master, Princess Jiujiu has arrived."
He paused for a moment, then replied briefly, "Okay."
He then placed the rectangular object back on the table, turned around, and looked at Xu Jiujiu, saying, "Please come with me."
Xu Jiujiu pause, her gaze fell on the object that had just been put back in its place, and she asked, "What was that just now?"
Ji Juechen followed her gaze and glanced at it, his tone remaining calm. "Communication Soul Tool."
The wireless Communication Soul Tool for the Spirit Hall is still under testing, while the wired Communication Soul Tool has already been put into use.
Upon hearing this, Xu Jiujiu felt a slight tremor in his heart.
She hadn't been to the Spirit Pagoda for several months, and she never expected such a change.
She followed Ji Juechen toward the elevator, her steps still steady, but her thoughts had already wandered far away.
She immediately recognized the military potential of this Communication Soul Tool, as the speed of information transmission on the battlefield directly determines an army's responsiveness and tactical flexibility.
This seemingly insignificant little object may completely change the way wars are fought in the near future.
At the top of the Sun Moon Spirit Pagoda, Ji Juechen pushed open the door.
After stepping aside to make way, he nodded slightly to him Xu Jiujiu before stepping inside.
Ji Juechen didn't follow him in; he simply closed the door behind him, and his footsteps faded into the distance in the corridor.
Having already received the news, Huo Yuhao stood up from the sofa, greeted Xu Jiujiu's face with his usual smile, and said in a familiar and warm tone, "Sister Jiujiu, long time no see."
When Xu Jiujiu heard this address, a fleeting hint of embarrassment flashed in her eyes.
However, her embarrassment was quickly overshadowed by her composure. She smiled and replied, "I've been busy preparing for the competition lately, it has indeed been a long time."
Huo Yuhao didn't expose anything, but simply led Xu Jiujiu to sit down on the sofa.
The subtle barriers and unspoken thoughts between them were both understood by each other, and they tacitly refrained from bringing them up in public.
They chatted for a few minutes, exchanging pleasantries about the competition and their current situations, and the atmosphere didn't seem unusual.
But Xu Jiujiu was clearly not there specifically to reminisce. After a few polite words, she got straight to the point, and her tone became much more formal.
"Yuhao, you should already know about the situation with the Holy Spirit Team, right?"
Huo Yuhao nodded, his expression remaining calm. "I do know something about the Holy Spirit Cult being an organization established by Evil Soul Master."
After Xu Jiujiu, he continued speaking, his pace slightly faster than before, clearly indicating that he had prepared in advance.
" For the Sun Moon Empire to cooperate with the Holy Spirit Cult is tantamount to seeking a tiger's skin."
"Moreover, Xu Tianran is a well-known hardliner in the Sun Moon Empire, and has always advocated for territorial expansion."
"Once he officially takes power, it's almost certain he'll launch a war against the original Three Douluo Kingdoms."
She paused here, her gaze falling on Huo Yuhao's face, as if waiting for his reaction.
Huo Yuhao looked at her calmly, his tone devoid of much emotion. "What does Princess Jiujiu mean by telling me all this?"
He took a Xu Jiujiu breath, as if he were finally bringing to the surface a decision that had been brewing in his heart for a long time.
She sat up straight, looking intently at Huo Yuhao, and said, word by word, "The original Three Douluo Kingdoms and Shrek Academy had already agreed to jointly assassinate Xu Tianran after the competition."
"Now..."
She paused for a moment.
"I formally invite the Spirit Pagoda to join this operation."
