Background / History

Yun Ming served as the Pavilion Master of Shrek Academy's Sea God Pavilion and was regarded as the strongest person on the continent. His standing was such that even Shrek's most senior elders deferred to him in matters of authority and power. He was married to Ya Li, the Holy Spirit Douluo, and personally trained Na'er as his disciple. 43 44 90

He first meets Huo Yuhao when Leng Yaozhu brings her disciple to Sea God Island. Yun Ming immediately recognizes Huo Yuhao's refined Soul Power, solid foundation, and unusually steady bearing. After witnessing Huo Yuhao defeat Na'er, he learns that Huo Yuhao possesses the Spirit Eyes—a Spirit-Type Body Martial Soul identical to that of the legendary Spirit Ice Douluo. 43 46

Yun Ming becomes increasingly suspicious that Huo Yuhao is connected to the Spirit Ice Douluo. He later discovers Huo Yuhao's use of magic, confirms its existence through Huo Yuhao's reaction, and concludes that it may be a bloodline inheritance from the ancient Shrek ancestor. 146

When Shrek Academy attempts to keep Huo Yuhao following the Golden Tree anomaly, Yun Ming opposes the decision. Though initially willing to hear the elders' concerns, he ultimately prevents the conflict between Long Yeyue and Qiangu Dongfeng from escalating and permits Huo Yuhao to leave Shrek. 238 243 244

During a later catastrophe at Shrek Academy, Yun Ming fires a final attack at the cost of shattering his God Position and is believed to have died completely. Electrolux spends six months collecting and restoring Yun Ming's remaining soul fragments, ultimately transforming him into a lich in Huo Yuhao's Undead Plane. 336

Unable to accept rebuilding Shrek Academy or appearing publicly in his undead state, Yun Ming is brought by Huo Yuhao to the Douluo Continent of ten thousand years earlier.
