After Xu Tianran used an assassination attempt to justify war, Huo Yuhao escaped Long Xiaoyao with Di Tian’s help and refused Xuan Zi’s request to involve the Spirit Pagoda in Shrek’s mission.

• Er Ming and Xiong Jun attacked Huo Yuhao, but Leng Yaozhu intervened and Er Ming fled after recognizing Wang Dong'er's Clear Sky Sect token.
• Er Ming later challenged Huo Yuhao and revealed that Wang Dong'er had a hidden injury, giving him a map to the Lovesick Heartbreak Red as a possible remedy.
• Yun Ming warned Huo Yuhao that the Holy Spirit Cult had allied with Xu Tianran and was preparing to attack the Heaven Dou and Dou Ling Empires.

Huo Yuhao began the God of Destruction’s inheritance after surviving Tang San’s trial, while Tang San learned that Huo Yuhao had taken Tang Wulin’s Golden Dragon King Bloodline. As the Abyss invaded, Na’er and Gu Yue fused into a powerful form and returned to the Spirit Pagoda unable to separate.

• Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong’er, and Jin Li were drawn into Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love’s Questions, where the trial tested their feelings and sent them into an illusion of Jialing Pass.
• Huo Yuhao fought Qian Jun Douluo and Qian Renxue, and Jin Li sacrificed herself to heal his divine wound before the God of Destruction interrupted the trial and restored her.
• The God of Destruction named Huo Yuhao his successor, reversed Jin Li’s sacrifice, and began his Nine Trials of Destruction, while Huo Yuhao completed the first trial by escaping the valley.
• The God of Destruction ordered Huo Yuhao to find evidence of Tang San’s arrangements in the lower realms, as Tang San contacted Tang Wulin and learned that Huo Yuhao had extracted Wulin’s Golden Dragon King Bloodline.

Huo Yuhao restored Tang Wutong’s missing soul fragment and helped expose Tang San’s abuses in the God Realm. Back on the continent, he joined Leng Yaozhu in uncovering the Spirit Pagoda’s collusion with the Holy Spirit Cult, ending with Leng Yaozhu holding Leng Yulai at swordpoint.

• Huo Yuhao visited the Clear Sky Sect with Wang Dong'er, where Niu Tian and Tai Tan revealed that she had a hidden injury and Huo Yuhao discovered part of her soul was missing.
• The God of Destruction revealed that Wang Dong'er's missing soul fragment was in Jin Li's Spirit Sea, and Huo Yuhao took Jin Li ten thousand years into the future to show her what her sacrifice had meant to him.
• Di Tian reluctantly accepted Jin Li's love for Huo Yuhao and gave her his Reverse Scale to pass to his past self.
• The God of Destruction accused Tang San of manipulating the lower realms and harming Tang Wutong, then had Tang San's cultivation sealed and sent him to God Realm Prison.
• Huo Yuhao used the Scepter of Destruction to restore Tang Wutong's missing soul fragment, and she remembered her identity before returning to the God Realm.

Huo Yuhao exposed Qiangu Dongfeng, helped destroy the Holy Spirit Cult, and led the Spirit Pagoda as Shrek Academy attempted to rebuild. After a demon invasion devastated the reconstruction, he and Gu Yue agreed to seek a way to reconcile humans and Soul Beasts, while the God of Destruction revealed that Huo Yuhao had already passed his ninth divine examination.

• Leng Yaozhu learned the truth behind Leng Yulai’s sacrifice, received evidence of Qiangu Dongfeng’s collusion with the Holy Spirit Cult, and watched her sister die after Leng Yulai apologized.
• Leng Yaozhu removed Qiangu Dongfeng as Tower Master and appointed Huo Yuhao, who revealed his strength and bloodline before the Spirit Pagoda’s leaders.
• Huo Yuhao joined the Three Douluo Kingdoms and Shrek Academy to rescue captives in the Evil Demon Forest, where their forces battled the Holy Spirit Cult and Sun Moon Empire troops.
