Li Wa led the Ancient Tomb Sect from Zhongnan Mountain to Sunset Mountain near Qiantang County. On arrival, she and her disciples slaughtered the mountain’s mutated inhabitants, subdued a White Snake demon, and consumed its flesh and blood to raise the sect’s cultivation. She then announced a public method for Guǐ Wǔ practitioners to transcend the limits of their martial path. 29 30

Behind the Ancient Tomb Sect’s public identity, Li Wa is a high-ranking member of the Eternal Life Cult. Her apparent breakthrough and promised Mortal Transformation method were a lure: she intended to use Sunset Mountain’s Flesh Altar to refine visiting martial artists into Red Pill soldiers for the Eternal Life Cult. 36 39

Her supposed daughter, Li Su, is in fact a Spirit Embryo separated from Li Wa herself. Li Wa is the Desire Embryo; through the Eternal Life Cult’s Spirit Desire Dual Cultivation, the two could cultivate at accelerated speed and eventually reunite to increase Li Wa’s power. 41

She pursues power through large-scale schemes rather than personal cultivation alone. Her plan would have transformed nearly a thousand visiting martial artists into subordinates and strengthened the Flesh Altar central to the Eternal Life Cult’s Red Pill Army project. 39 41

When the altar was destroyed and her accumulated resources scattered, Li Wa became enraged and desperate. Even after the operation’s collapse, she attempted to regain leverage by targeting Bao Mingjing and Bai Fugui. 43 44
