Background & History

Ge Xian transmigrated into the body of another Ge Xian: an orphaned peddler living in Locust Flower Old Lane, Qiantang County, under the Dayuan Dynasty. The original host had accepted invitations from several spy organizations in hopes of gaining access to cultivation, but died when his newly awakened Supernatural Charm attracted the five dangerous supernatural items he had collected. 1 2 3

The transmigrated Ge Xian inherited the host’s memories, talents, debts, and dangerous surroundings. He quickly realized that Qiantang’s rulers—including County Magistrate Lu Hualong—were demons or cultivators who treated humans as resources. Rather than flee immediately, he used peddling and espionage to gather cultivation knowledge while hiding his own abnormalities. 1 3 5

After looting the dying Beggar Sect elder Hong Buyi, Ge Xian acquired cultivation knowledge, the Dog Beating Staff Technique, and several supernatural powers. In human form, Ge Xian is a handsome young peddler whose appearance and acting ability help him attract crowds and gain others’ favor. He can suppress his Dao Qi while human, making his cultivation difficult to detect. 17 33

Despite his ruthlessness, Ge Xian remains disturbed by the world’s treatment of humans as livestock and fears losing his humanity through cultivation. During the attack on Lu Hualong, Ge Xian exploits the chaos to deceive and kill the injured Beggar Sect elder Hong Buyi. Dragon-Kin Hunting

After obtaining the Dragon Transformation Chapter, Ge Xian begins actively hunting dragon-kin monsters and absorbing their Dao Qi. He defeats the Jade Pig Dragon, kills the Old Widower and Centipede Dragon, destroys Dragon Blood Valley, and acquires Centipede Venom and Thunder Fiend. 16 23 25 26

Qiantang Intrigue

Ge Xian’s earlier involvement with multiple spy organizations catches up with him as Faxian, Shi Er, Yang Bi, and others attempt to recruit him. Foundation Establishment and Conflict with Yelü Yuyan

Using the destruction of the Ancient Tomb Sect as cover, Ge Xian enters Sunset Mountain’s underground Spirit Pool and completes his Foundation Establishment through the Yinglong visualization method. Yelü Yuyan discovers his dragon identity, forcing him into an underwater battle and escape after he severely injures her with a combination of water, venom, cold, and demon arts. 43 44 45
