Silco rested his hands on the table, clasping and separating them as he spoke. "I got what I wanted, and he got what he wanted. Parting ways after that—isn't that perfectly normal?"
"And he probably left around the time I began making contact and cooperating with you. Shimmer production was drastically reduced, and much of the research funding I gave him went to you instead. What reason would he have had to stay by my side?" Silco said to Li Ke.
