Formulate the Capture Plan

When stopping the criminal from escaping on site, one of our agents showed extreme bravery. Fury didn't forget to brag about his subordinate. The attacker stomped on his face several times, but he persisted, hiding a tracker in the attacker's pant leg before passing out.

Sweating profusely Guan Heng said, "His head and facial skin have incredibly strong resistance to damage. Fury, you should promote him. This loyal and dutiful man is simply a model for American agents."

"It's too late. The hospital just sent word. Fury spread his hands, saying that the agent has already been kicked into a vegetative state."

"Uh, is that so? I'm truly happy for him. He won't need a flag draped over him for now," Guan Heng said casually, but inwardly he thought, Damn it, opponents who can teleport are hard to catch. But you'd better try to persuade the President not to be so hasty in dealing with all mutants. Not all mutants are bad guys. Just catch the bad guys, and don't alienate all mutants."

Fury, not hearing Guan Heng's response, sighed and said, "Alright, I'll transmit the attacker's tracking signal to your communicator later. As for your concerns about mutants, I'll consider speaking to the President on your behalf."

Then, Fury gave a few more instructions, urging Guan Heng to capture the attacker quickly, before ending the communication.

Guan Heng's expression was grim as he walked back towards the academy's main hall. Midway, he suddenly thought of William Stryker, who hated mutants the most.

Stryker, this scoundrel, held a high position now. He wasn't a mutant himself, but his son was. He had influenced the lives of many mutants. It was precisely because he wanted to create the ultimate mutant weapon that he had gathered many mutants like Wolverine for experiments in the past. However, because his wife died at the hands of their mutant son, Stryker harbored intense hatred for mutants. If he didn't seize this opportunity of the President being attacked to crush mutants, he wouldn't rest.

"Everyone, I have some very bad news." Guan Heng walked into the hall with a somber face and addressed everyone. "This news concerns the safety of all mutants. In short, this might be a world-shattering problem."

"What's wrong, Guan Heng?" Professor X heard the unusual tone in Guan Heng's voice and felt a sense of foreboding.

"For certain reasons, I'm working for S.H.I.E.L.D. now." Guan Heng said helplessly. "Nick Fury just notified me and asked me to capture a mutant."

"What?!" Cyclops slammed his fist on the table and questioned angrily, "Guan Heng, are you willing to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. lackey and destroy the bridge of friendship we just built? You..."

Scott wanted to lash out immediately but was stopped by the looks from others. Seeing Guan Heng's calm expression, he also wanted to hear his explanation.

"Are there any special reasons?" Professor X raised the question. Even though S.H.I.E.L.D. could be overbearing, they rarely arrested mutants without cause.

"He who strikes first is the aggressor," Guan Heng spread his hands and said with a frown. "That mutant kicked Uncle Sam's spokesperson's buttocks. Do you think S.H.I.E.L.D. can just ignore it?"

Everyone present knew who Guan Heng was referring to, and their expressions changed in an instant.

"Did that mutant attack the President?" Professor X asked gravely.

"And he also took the pitiable Mayor of New York City with him," Guan Heng nodded. "If this was a prank, it's gone way too far."

"Heavens! The official attitude towards mutants is already unpredictable. Now..."

"Yeah, I feel like a storm is brewing," the X-Men murmured amongst themselves. Professor X, however, remained silent, deep in thought, desperately contemplating the future changes and how to prepare. "Currently, Nick Fury wants me to catch the attacker first," Guan Heng explained. "In my opinion, S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't intend to deal with all mutants right now."

But the military is different, Guan Heng analyzed. They won't be so kind. These guys are experimenting on Mutants while intensely hating you. That John Stryker, Professor, you know him well, right? He's as familiar with this place as his own backyard. I'm afraid the military might be trying to get presidential authorization by any means necessary and then immediately make a move against you.

Without S.H.I.E.L.D.'s support, it won't be so easy for Stryker to deal with us, Cyclops Scott said. Unless he throws caution to the wind and uses weapons of mass destruction, and mobilizes a large army, it will be difficult to pose a threat to us.

The Professor and everyone else worried that S.H.I.E.L.D. would interfere, because there are more than one superpowered individuals as skilled as Guan Heng in S.H.I.E.L.D.

If S.H.I.E.L.D. intervened to deal with X Academy, it would be difficult for the X-Men to retreat safely while protecting the children. After all, the academy's current combat power is only Scott, Jean, and Ororo. Wolverine is also absent. Most of the others are just Mutant children, whose talents are not even easy to control freely, let alone participate in combat.

Professor, what should we do now?
