After taking Peter home, Guan Heng went up to the attic, where Li Qianhuan was waiting obediently in the room.

"Qianhuan, I gave it some thought. Your Colorful Energy Ball and Explosion Fireworks are powers with rather weak offensive capability. To give you the ability to protect yourself, so you won't be left helpless when threatened, I've decided to teach you Self-Defense Technique. Oh, and how to throw concealed weapons as well," Guan Heng told her after careful consideration.

"Really? Thank you, Brother Guan!" Li Qianhuan was especially delighted at the prospect of learning more self-defense skills, and she smiled happily.

Over the next three days, Guan Heng trained Li Qianhuan continuously, teaching her Self-Defense Technique and how to throw concealed weapons.

"Women are generally weaker than men, but martial arts and fighting techniques were created by the weaker side to deal with powerful enemies. You need to learn how to take down your opponent in the fastest, most direct way possible."

"Make your punches ruthless and your kicks precise. Strike the joints and vital points for a sure hit. Even after your enemy falls, don't get too close. First make sure you remain within a safe distance."

"The offense and defense of Tai Chi are a force of opening and closing. Rotating inward is called wrapping, while moving outward is called releasing. Once you master this technique, you'll be able to wield Tai Chi Force freely."

Besides all kinds of fighting techniques, Guan Heng also carefully trained Li Qianhuan in the Flying Dagger Throwing Method.

"When firing concealed weapons, using only your wrist is completely different from adding an arm swing. Also, before throwing a dagger, it's best to intimidate the enemy with your presence and make him afraid to move. Once the dagger leaves your hand, it will naturally never miss. Like this... hmm."

Guan Heng made an exaggeratedly fierce expression, making Li Qianhuan burst into laughter. "That's so funny! Brother Heng, you're hilarious!"

"In ancient Huaxia, there was a Great Swordsman named Li Xunhuan. He was most skilled in the Flying Dagger Divine Skill and always defeated his enemies with just one dagger. He was incredibly formidable," Guan Heng said with a straight face. "Qianhuan, perhaps you're a direct descendant of that Great Swordsman Li."

"Really? I'm a Descendant of Great Swordsman?" Li Qianhuan pointed at her own nose and smiled. "Then doesn't that make me a Female Hero?"

Peaceful days always passed quickly. That day, just as Guan Heng arrived near the restaurant where he worked, a black luxury sedan screeched to a sudden stop right in front of him. "Hey! Where did this Second-hand Driver come from? Are you driving a car or trying to buy someone's life?"

Guan Heng cursed furiously. The car door suddenly opened, and out came a pair of long, slender legs in exquisite custom-made high heels, unquestionably first-rate craftsmanship. At the sight, Guan Heng could not help whistling. "The owner of those legs must be a stunning beauty."

As it turned out, his judgment was correct. The woman who stepped out was indeed a breathtaking beauty in a black business suit. However, her emotions did not show on her face. Cold—she was truly icy and glamorous.

"You're Guan Heng, right?" The cold beauty placed One Hand on her waist and gave Guan Heng a sidelong appraisal. "I'm Maria Hill. There's something I need to discuss with you. Please come with me."

"H-Hill?" Guan Heng narrowed his Eyes as he looked at the vaguely familiar beauty before him, then sighed inwardly. So S.H.I.E.L.D. has finally set its sights on me. This cold beauty, Maria Hill, was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second-in-command, below Nick Fury and above everyone else—the famous Iceberg. Was she a Level 8 or Level 9 Agent? I can't remember. I should've watched those movies a few more times back then. And a reminder to my dear readers: please watch in theaters or support the official release, lest you transmigrate someday and mislead both others and yourselves.

Nothing good ever came from a summons by S.H.I.E.L.D. Thinking this, Guan Heng hurriedly said, "Sorry, beautiful, I don't know you. I-I have urgent business, so I'll be leaving first." After Saying That, he turned to leave.

Hill said coldly, "If you want that Chinese girl surnamed Li to remain safe and sound, you'd better come with me now."

At those words, a fierce glint flashed through Guan Heng's Eyes. In his rage, the blazing aura of Iron Fist Power covered his entire body. The powerful energy field whipped up a gust of wind within three meters, lifting Hill's skirt. Yet this woman stood rooted to the ground like a stake, completely unmoving, with no intention whatsoever of covering her skirt.

As expected of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Ice Queen. A true tough woman, just as the rumors said. Though those little underwear with an ivy pattern are both eco-friendly and kawaii. Guan Heng thought this, but his voice turned stern. "You... dare threaten me?"

Hill sneered. "I wouldn't call it a threat. I'm merely telling you the facts. We don't even need to act ourselves. As long as we secretly leak the news to the Anti-Mutant Church, a girl's body will soon be nailed to one of their crosses. You don't want to watch a vibrant life wither away because of your own wrong decision, do you?"

Guan Heng narrowed his Eyes, his Fists clenched until they cracked. Then, suddenly, he relaxed his hands. Those S.H.I.E.L.D. bastards mean what they say. Damn it, I can't be everywhere at once. If anything really happens to Qianhuan because of this, wouldn't I regret it forever? Fine. I'll admit defeat in this round for now.

"You win. Hmph, only because you know I never hit women," Guan Heng said unwillingly as he lowered his Fists.

"Get in. I'll take you somewhere first." Once Guan Heng sat in the passenger seat, Hill immediately started the car.

As she drove, Hill thought to herself, Director Fury told me to personally test Guan Heng's ability to deal with zombies. Perfect timing. Our Agents caught that thing with a trap. Using it to test Guan Heng couldn't be more suitable.

Making idle conversation and answering Guan Heng's boring questions now and then, Hill soon drove to a two-story Western-style house on the outskirts of New York City. This was also a secret operational base for S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents.

The moment they got out of the car and had not even taken two steps, a series of crashing, shattering Loud Noises rang out. The bodies of two Agents were thrown from the window. Accompanied by a savage roar, a Super Zombie shot out of the house.

Guan Heng narrowed his Eyes and studied it carefully. This zombie had clearly not reached the level of a Corpse Lord. Its intelligence had not awakened, yet its agility and strength should far surpass those of a Corpse Lord. What's Going On?

Looking again at the zombie's outfit, Guan Heng was Greatly Surprised. "A winged helmet, a star-spangled combat suit... other than not carrying a huge shield, it looks exactly like M Nation Captain."

"What's Going On? Holy crap, the Captain turned into a zombie?" Guan Heng muttered, his tone full of disbelief.

Hill shouted beside him, "He isn't the real Captain! This is a zombie transformed from a Clone."

As she spoke, Hill charged forward without the slightest fear. "You damned bastard! You actually killed my subordinates!"

Leaping into the air, Hill delivered a fierce spinning kick that struck the Zombie Captain squarely in the neck. If an ordinary person had taken that kick, their neck would have been broken. Unfortunately, to a zombie, it was like scratching an itch through a boot and had no effect at all.

The Zombie Captain reached out and grabbed Hill's ankle, swung her around half a circle, then hurled her toward a nearby tree with a whoosh. Bang! Hill slammed into the tree, pain shooting through her back as if her spine were about to snap. She could no longer get up.
