Klein opened his diary above the Grey Fog.

Klein was, of course, a decent person, but why did he still write a diary?

Naturally, it was because after becoming the Lord of the Mysteries, the mental will of his predecessor was still influencing him; this was inevitable.

After all, as the Lord of the Mysteries, how could he possibly just wait quietly until the end of the universe?

However, under the influence of Truman, the former Lord of the Mysteries seemed to have changed his strategy. Instead of pursuing resurrection, he was actively giving up dominance, seeking to merge with Klein into a single entity—a mental patchwork—to achieve an alternative form of awakening.

To resist this fusion, Klein had developed the habit of writing a diary to anchor his sense of self. Naturally, with Roselle as a cautionary tale, this diary existed only within Sefirah Castle.

Klein flipped to the first page of the diary, dated shortly after that battle of the Great Old Ones.

"December 3, 1352. Weather: Overcast."

"The aftermath of the battle of the Great Old Ones has basically subsided. The churches of the Sun, Knowledge, and Storm have reorganized into the new Church of the Creator."

"Among them, the Eternal Blazing Sun church underwent a schism. One faction merged with the Moses Ascetic Order into the Dream Cult. I only just learned now that the Hidden Emperor was actually one of Truman's personas. I suppose one shouldn't even bother going out without a few layers of personas, right..."

"I have opened the seal of the Western Continent. The civilizations of the continents have begun to intersect, and the gods and the Sefirah have begun to interact, but without the apocalypse, it no longer feels urgent."

"Outside of Earth, thanks to the new Illusion Realm, interstellar communication
