But even in dire straits, Class D had some good news.

Horikita Suzune had brought back Ken Sudō, who had been refusing to study.

Apparently, she'd won him over by waiting outside his dorm room to hand him her notes and convincing him that dropping out would make it hard for him to achieve his basketball dream.

Horikita Suzune had once again taken on the responsibility of tutoring The Idiot Trio.

Sudō had the weakest foundation, but surprisingly, he was very persistent. He was the most focused of the three, and he made the most progress.

Yosuke Hirata and Kushida Kikyo began calling on their connections across the year to ask Class A and Class B for help, hoping to get some of their better students to support Class D.

Since the scope of the history exam had changed, they had to reteach everything, and they simply didn't have enough people.

Unfortunately, they'd gone to Class B first and hit a wall.

Ichinose Honami apologized and explained that Class B had plenty of students with weak foundations too, so they couldn't spare anyone.

She was willing to go to Class D herself to help, but they really couldn't spare any more students.

With no other choice, Hirata and Kushida headed to the Class A classroom, home to the strongest students academically.

In the late-April quiz, Class A had taken five of the top ten spots: Amasawa Yuto, Sakayanagi Arisu, Shimazaki Ikkei, Sanada Kosei, and Katsuragi Kohei. Their academic ability left the other classes far behind.

Class B had one student, Ichinose Honami; Class C had one, Kaneda Satoru; and Class D had Tsubaki Yuki, Horikita Suzune, and Koenji Rokusuke.

That was the list of the top ten students in the year.

"Um, excuse me. Is Amasawa in the classroom?"
