Tomorrow was the last day before midterms, and today she still had to go to the library to hold a study session for the underachievers in her class.
After school, Horikita Suzune had planned to head straight to the library, but a message from Tsubaki Yuki changed her mind.
"Come find me in the Dance Studio later~ I have something important to tell you."
So Horikita went to the Dance Studio. It was the Dance Club's activity room. On the same floor was a stage about the size of the one in the gymnasium, shared by the Dance Club and the Drama Club for rehearsals and practice for formal performances.
In the Dressing Room, Horikita Suzune found Tsubaki Yuki.
"Um, are you okay? Your dark circles look really bad..." That was the first thing Tsubaki said when she saw Horikita Suzune.
Horikita Suzune hadn't been in the best shape lately. She was responsible for writing the test questions and running the study sessions, while also keeping up with her own studies. The pressure was getting to her.
She gave Tsubaki a somewhat resentful look, as if to say, Who do you think is responsible for all this?
Tsubaki chuckled, then took a file envelope from the bag beside her and handed it over.
"What's this?" Horikita Suzune asked, puzzled.
"The questions for the upcoming midterms."
"Where did you get these? You didn't steal them, did you?" Horikita Suzune gave her a suspicious look.
"Of course not. Didn't Chabashira-sensei say that even if we didn't study hard, there was still a way to get through this exam? This is what she meant. The midterm questions for the first term are the same every year."
Horikita Suzune suddenly understood. She had never given Chabashira-sensei's words much thought, assuming they were just taunts.
