Background & History
Three Incarnations
Jiang Yi is a transmigrator whose original Martial Soul talent was split among three versions of himself sent to different Douluo worlds. The division left each incarnation with a crippling flaw: Peerless Jiang Yi had extraordinary physical growth but stagnant Spiritual Power; Douluo I Jiang Yi possessed a Soul Spirit Martial Soul but was born physically frail; Dragon King Jiang Yi lacked sufficient combat strength despite his cultivation. 3
The three first met in the White Mist Space after Peerless Jiang Yi suffered mental trauma during the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. They shared their powers and memories, resolved to disrupt their worlds' original fates, and targeted Tang San, Huo Yuhao, and Tang Wulin as respective rivals. 3
Their second reunion established a new function: by accumulating a special power, they can enter the White Mist Space voluntarily. They also began dividing Battle Armor production tasks according to each incarnation's strengths. 85
Early Life and Yunluo Academy
Peerless Jiang Yi was born in the Star Luo Empire, lost his parents early, and became an orphan. He awakened the Endless Battle Body at a Yunluo Academy ceremony. Its unlimited physical-growth potential allowed him to bear a thousand-year first Soul Ring, but his weak Spiritual Power prevented him from safely absorbing a ten-thousand-year ring despite reaching Level 40. 1 59
As Yunluo Academy's leading combatant, he entered the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. His victories over Shrek Academy, Zhengtian Academy, Dou Ling Royal Academy, and Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy made him the central force behind Yunluo's championship run. 53 56 71 84 86
Star Luo Empire Service
Emperor Xu Jiawei attempted to recruit Jiang Yi after recognizing his potential. Jiang Yi initially resisted binding himself to the empire, but Xu Jiawei's sincerity—including cultivation resources and the Hundred-Thousand-Year Snow Empress embryo—persuaded him to remain in Star Luo. 59 60
He later fought beside Xu Jiujiu and Xu Tianxing during the Holy Spirit Cult's attack on Star Luo City. Although only a Soul Ancestor at the time, he suppressed Abomination Douluo with Xu Jiujiu's assistance and used Mountain and River Shatter and All-Living Extinction to severely injure him. 129 130 131
Heaven Dou and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect
In the Douluo I world, Jiang Yi joined Heaven Dou Royal Academy alongside Ning Rongrong. He treated Dugu Yan's poison, created detoxification pills for Dugu Bo, and used the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well's resources to strengthen himself and his allies. 100 101 102
He gave Ning Rongrong the Aromatic Silk Beauty, allowing her Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda to evolve into the Nine Treasures Glazed Pagoda. He later shared Soul Tool knowledge with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and became a key supporter of its defenses. 103 113 237
Jiang Yi led the Heaven Dou Royal Academy team to victory over Martial Soul Hall Academy, then distributed the championship Soul Bones according to his teammates' attributes and needs. 232
Monster Academy and Battle Armor
Dragon King Jiang Yi transferred to Monster Academy, where he defeated Long Yue in a direct contest of strength and earned the attention of the Eight Heavenly Kings and Dean En Ci. 169 170
He developed his own One-Word Battle Armor through Spirit Forging and months of uninterrupted work. The finished armor was of a quality comparable to a two-word Battle Armor and further widened the gap between him and Long Yue. 173 179 181
Appearance
Jiang Yi is a tall, handsome young man with a strong, athletic build shaped by relentless physical training. 1
- His body became more robust and visibly muscular after the first three-world talent fusion. 6
- After refining the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well's medicinal energy, his skin was described as white as jade. 101
- Cyan-gold Life Force often manifests around him when he is injured, training beyond his limits, or unleashing his body's hidden potential. 56 114
Personality
Jiang Yi is calm, self-assured, and difficult to provoke. He accepts praise without becoming arrogant, as shown when he dismissed his rescue of a train's passengers as simply doing what he should do. 45
He is intensely disciplined. Whether cultivating his body, studying Soul Tools, or forging Battle Armor, he repeatedly commits himself to long periods of focused work and extreme training. 53 115 173 179
Though considerate toward companions—such as distributing championship rewards fairly and teaching the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect Soul Tool technology—he is also highly pragmatic. He deliberately alters established fates, uses information from the original timelines, and treats opponents such as Tang Hao and Tang San as obstacles to be strategically manipulated or defeated. 113 140 232
Abilities & Skills
Endless Battle Body
Jiang Yi's primary Martial Soul is the Endless Battle Body, a Body Martial Soul whose physical potential continuously improves as long as he keeps training. 1
- Grants exceptional strength, speed, defense, and endurance. 56 60 61
- Allowed him to fuse a thousand-year Soul Ring as his first ring. 1
- Makes him immune to bloodline suppression because his Martial Soul is his own body rather than a bloodline-based beast spirit. 199
- Its original weakness was stagnant Spiritual Power, leaving him vulnerable to mental attacks before the three incarnations fused. 1 6
Physical Recovery and Life Force
Jiang Yi possesses immense Life Force, manifested as cyan-gold energy, which rapidly restores injuries and lets him endure combat beyond ordinary limits. 56 114 170
