Background / History
Having ascended to the God Realm over twenty years earlier, Tang San reached the God King realm through the Sea God and Asura God positions. He continued to oversee Douluo Continent through Divine Sense, paying particular attention to Huo Yuhao—the Child of Destiny—and quietly arranging possible paths for his development 30 34.
Tang San regarded the Body Sect as the greatest variable on the continent. His observation of Mu Yuan was interrupted when Electrolux entered Mu Yuan’s Spirit Sea, while Du Busi later destroyed Tang San’s Divine Sense contingency at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with amplified poison 30 33. Although the poison did not seriously injure Tang San’s true body, it provoked an immediate retaliation and intensified his hostility toward the Body Sect 34.
Personality
Tang San is patient, calculating, and deeply invested in controlling the future of Douluo Continent and the God Realm. He prepares contingencies, cultivates potential successors, and adjusts plans rapidly when variables such as Mu Yuan disrupt his designs 30 162 163.
He is protective of people and institutions he considers his own, notably Shrek Academy, the Tang Sect, the Clear Sky Sect, Da Ming, Er Ming, and Xiao Wu. This protectiveness can lead him to violate God Realm rules, including teleporting Shrek and Tang Sect members into the God Realm for safety 279 282.
Tang San is also willing to manipulate others for long-term objectives. He planned to use Zhongli Wu’s actions to strengthen Xuan Zi before abandoning him, considered severing lower-plane cultivation systems to weaken Mu Yuan, and used Wang Qiu’er’s altered soul as part of his plans for Tang Wutong 196 226 312.
Abilities & Skills
Divine Sense and Divine Projections
Tang San can observe lower realms through Divine Sense, leave behind contingencies, and manifest projections or avatars to intervene directly.
- Monitored Huo Yuhao from the latter’s breakthrough to level ten and identified Tian Meng as a million-year mental-type Soul Beast 30.
- Left a Divine Sense projection at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well; Du Busi ultimately destroyed it with the amplified poison of the Jade Phosphorus Nine Absolute Flower 33.
- A projection can exert overwhelming mental pressure on lower-realm cultivators, though Tang San refrained from openly attacking Mu Yuan due to the favor Mu Yuan had received from the God of Destruction and God of Life 195.
- His avatars can wield True God-level combat power through his God King essence despite not being true True God-level entities themselves 304.
Sea God Authority
As the Sea God, Tang San commands blue-gold divine power and a range of Sea God techniques.
- Sea God’s Thirteen Forms — Uses the Golden Trident to create layered attacks that incorporate shifting speed and the power of time 278.
- Boundless Sea Ripple — Launches golden rings capable of binding a target on contact; Mu Yuan intercepted the rings before they reached him during their clash 278.
- Blue Silver Domain — Allows Tang San to shift to Blue Silver Emperors within his domain, including those rooted in the air; Mu Yuan’s Mental Domain restricted the range of this spatial movement 279.
- Sea God Holy Pillar — Detonated the pillar installed at the Clear Sky Sect to send purifying blue-gold power toward Er Ming after Mu Yuan prevented Tang San from reaching him directly 279.
Asura Divine Power
Tang San can wield the authority of the Asura God alongside his Sea God power.
- Condensed and wielded a phantom of the Asura Divine Sword against Mu Yuan 281 304.
- Used Asura Sword Qi, though it was ground away by Mu Yuan’s Eight-Aspect Wheel-Turning Power 304.
- Xiao Wu can merge her power with Tang San, allowing him to drive his Asura Divine Power at full strength 320.
Divine Empowerment and God Realm Authority
Tang San uses accumulated divine resources, trials, and political authority to cultivate allies and preserve his influence.
- Bestowed trials and rewards upon Shrek figures, including Soul Power infusions; he could activate divine power left within Yan Shaozhe and Xuan Zi 224 226.
- Raised Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong’er, Zhang Lexuan, Xuan Zi, Yan Shaozhe, and others to level ninety-nine in preparation for rebuilding his affiliated forces 290.
- Teleported Shrek Academy and Tang Sect members into the God Realm, then negotiated for their temporary stay by offering their potential role in condensing new God Positions 282.
- As a God King, can convene the God Realm Council, though the God of Destruction and God of Evil criticized his repeated use of this authority 286 310.
