History

Xuanyuan Sect was already recognized as Mountain City's dominant regional sect when Chen Mo reached the Central Continent. Its annual recruitment efforts drew aspiring martial artists from the surrounding region, while its reputation rested on its status as the strongest sect within ten thousand li. 282 283

Chen Mo entered the sect after revealing supreme-grade talent during a recruitment voyage. Upon arriving at the mountain gate, he displayed fully mastered Domain Power and negotiated directly with Sect Master Xuan Yan: in exchange for joining, he demanded access to all of the sect's cultivation techniques. Xuan Yan accepted, appointing him a Core Elder and the Peak Master of Heavenly Sword Peak. 284 287

Chen Mo subsequently studied the sect's techniques at extreme speed, treating Xuanyuan Sect as his initial foothold for adapting to the Central Continent and strengthening the Tenfold Martial Way. 288

Rather than entering through the usual disciple ranks, Chen Mo negotiated his own terms with Xuan Yan and became a Core Elder and Peak Master immediately. 287

Demon World expedition

Xuanyuan Sect cooperated with the Xinyue, Fengqing, and Yunyan sects in a Demon World expedition. The four groups nominally agreed to assist one another, though the participants understood that profit could override such arrangements. 290

With Xuan Yan detained in Wei City, Chen Mo traveled there to retrieve him. He defeated Yu Jia, forced the surrender of the Space Stone mine, and removed the entire vein using a top-grade spatial ring he had forged himself. 307 309

Seven Kills Linglong Formation
