Was I kind of extra?
Watching Hasebe Haruka and Amikura Mako sitting at another table, chatting away, Gojo Satoru was a little bewildered.
He couldn't help marveling again at how strange girls' friendships were. They'd been arguing just a little while ago, yet now they were best friends—and they'd even left him out!
The group had come to the cafeteria, only to split into two separate tables. Wasn't this betrayal?! Wasn't this abandonment?!
But when he looked at Sakura Airi sitting to his left and Kobashi Yume to his right, Gojo Satoru started grinning mischievously again.
"Hey, hey, why are you two just eating? Chat with me!"
At the sudden sound of Gojo Satoru's voice, Kobashi Yume, who'd been happily eating, choked a little. Blushing, she looked away, lost in thought.
Sakura Airi, meanwhile, buried her head even lower and kept eating. Just sitting beside him was already embarrassing enough. If she got any closer, she was sure she'd lose control!
Seeing that neither of them intended to respond, Gojo Satoru had no choice but to eat in silence.
Unlike them, the atmosphere at the other table had already reached a fever pitch!
"What?!
Satoru-kun was ostracized in class?!"
Listening to her go on and on about what had happened that morning, Amikura Mako was furious!
She couldn't imagine someone with Gojo Satoru's looks being rejected by the others!
She hadn't realized he'd had such a rough time in class! He must have suffered so much that he'd had no choice but to transfer!
That was exactly Hasebe Haruka's take, too. To convince Amikura Mako, she'd embellished the story again and again, stopping just short of cursing out the entire class.
