Haruka entered Advanced Nurturing High School intending to distance herself from others after a past mistake that left her viewing herself as a “bad person.” Despite this resolve, she formed close friendships with Gojo Satoru and Sakura Airi, which she describes as finally finding her youth. 73

She quickly became protective of Airi, recognizing Airi's shyness and tendency to rely on others.
