Next Morning.
At the entrance of the Konoha Ninja Academy, a large number of new students and their parents had already crowded the area, making it impossible to get through.
"So many people!"
Gekko Hayate stood outside the crowd, looking at the sea of people with an excited expression.
"Hayate, you'll be attending school here from now on. Are you happy?" Keiko asked with a smile, looking down at him.
"Yes, I'm happy!" Gekko Hayate nodded excitedly.
Hanfu stood beside the two, lazily looking around.
In the original work, there was a large tree opposite the entrance of the ninja academy with a swing hanging from its branches. However, at this moment, the tree was just a sapling, very inconspicuous.
'If I cut down this tree, would that count as changing history?'
Hanfu's eyes were filled with malice.
Just then, a young boy with clear features walked slowly from a distance. Upon seeing Hanfu, he waved enthusiastically, "Hanfu, over here, over here!"
Hearing this voice, Hanfu's memories instantly surged.
This really is...
Hanfu turned his head and smiled, waving back, "Long time no see, Iruka!"
That's right, the person approaching was none other than Naruto, Sasuke, and the other Konoha 11's teacher, Umino Iruka!
"Feng-chan, since a classmate has arrived, why don't you go with him first?" Keiko said with a smile.
She knew that new student registration wouldn't be finished in a few minutes, and Hanfu, as a Second Year Student, didn't need to attend this New Student Enrollment Ceremony. So, instead of letting him waste time here, it was better for him to enter the school early and interact more with his classmates.
"Okay, I'll go in first then. Bye." Hanfu waved and then walked towards Iruka.
"Remember to wait for Hayate after school. Don't forget," Keiko shouted after Hanfu's retreating back.
"Got it," Hanfu waved without looking back.
"Goodbye, Brother!" Gekko Hayate called out.
"Hanfu, is that your younger brother?"
After meeting up with Hanfu, Iruka couldn't help but praise, "He's so cute."
"Ah, his name is Hayate, but he's only cute when he's little. When he grows up, he's incredibly ugly," Hanfu waved his hand and said, "Iruka, let's go in. If we don't go now, there will be even more people later."
"Okay."
Iruka nodded in agreement. The two immediately squeezed into the crowd from the edge. Once they reached the playground inside, the space suddenly opened up.
Hanfeng carefully observed his surroundings and, combining it with his memories, quickly figured out all the facilities in the school.
"Hanfeng, a few days ago Anko found me and said she wanted to go for a picnic after school today. Are you going?" Iruka asked, hands behind his head, walking with a leisurely, somewhat carefree air.
"A picnic, huh."
Hanfeng squinted. In his memory, they did often go for picnics. However, for picnic food, they would give money to Anko, and she would buy it all. As a result, every picnic's food consisted of standard sweets like dango and red bean soup.
"No, I think I'll pass."
Hanfeng shook his head decisively. His taste leaned towards spicy and sour; sweets were okay occasionally, but he couldn't accept them as a main meal.
So, he righteously refused, "I have to take Hayate home after school, so I don't have time."
"Is that so? Then I won't go either."
Iruka said with a pained expression, "I really don't want to eat dango and red bean soup again! Hanfeng, during the summer holiday, Anko kept asking us to picnic, and every time she bought the same sweets. How much does she like dango and red bean soup? I hate sweets, I like ramen, ramen!! I really envy you, being able to use training as an excuse to refuse Anko. I can't, sigh."
Hanfeng tilted his head and looked at him as he walked, his eyes shining slightly.
"Hanfeng, what are you looking at?" Iruka asked, a little strangely. "Is there something on my face?"
"No, I just feel like you're a bit different from how I remember you," Hanfeng smiled.
"Remember? We've only been apart for one summer holiday, Hanfeng, you're not sick, are you?"
As he spoke, Iruka couldn't help but reach out to touch Hanfeng's forehead.
But at that moment, a tremendous force suddenly slammed into them from behind, knocking them both to the sides.
"Long time no see, Hanfeng-kun!"
Mitarashi Anko stood with her hands on her hips, breathing a little heavily, and looked at them with a beaming smile. "Iruka, were you bullying Hanfeng just now!"
"Anko, I'm telling you, you're too reckless," Iruka complained.
"Hmph."
Anko snorted lightly, then turned to Hanfeng, squinting slyly. "Hanfeng, let's go for a picnic after school this afternoon to celebrate our long-awaited reunion!"
"No, I'm not going," Hanfeng shook his head directly. "I have to take my younger brother home, I don't have time."
"Alright, the total picnic fee is five hundred." Anko reached out for money.
"Huh?"
Hanfu was stunned, "Hongdou, I said I'm not going."
Hongdou nodded, "Even if you don't go, you still have to pay for the picnic."
"Why?" Hanfu squinted at Hongdou.
"Because you weren't here during the summer holiday, and the money for each picnic wasn't enough," Hongdou said aggrievedly, "Dango and Red Bean Soup weren't enough to eat."
"You still have the nerve to say that, all of that ended up in your stomach anyway," Hanfu flipped through his memories, retorting, "If you keep eating like this, you'll definitely become a ball before you're thirty."
"If it's getting fat from eating Dango and Red Bean Soup, that's also acceptable," Hongdou said happily.
"..."
Finding no common ground, Hanfu turned and ran.
"Hanfu, wait for me."
Iruka hurried to catch up, not forgetting to turn back and say, "Hongdou, well, actually I have something to do after school too, so I'm sorry, I can't go to the picnic."
"Damn it, you clearly don't want to go to the picnic!"
Hongdou was furious, flailing as she chased after them.
Hanfu's class was Class 8, with a total of thirty students. It was nearing eight o'clock, and comrades were arriving at the classroom right on time.
"Did you see Lord Hokage?"
"Yes, I saw him. Sigh, I thought only our freshman year Lord Hokage came to give a speech, I didn't expect him to come this year too."
"Then you might be disappointed. I heard from senior students that Lord Hokage comes to the school to give a speech every year for new students."
"How can that be?"
"So our year isn't special at all, right?"
The students entering the classroom were discussing amongst themselves, talking about the Third Hokage giving a speech at the school entrance while finding their seats.
Hanfu and Iruka sat in the last row of the classroom, both resting their chins on their hands with blank expressions, watching the empty classroom slowly fill up.
Hongdou stood beside them, hands propped on the desk, her eyes fixed on the classroom door.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she waved, calling out, "Kankuro, Izumo, Sasha, come here quickly."
In Class 8, Hanfu, Iruka, Hongdou, Izumo Kamizuki, Kankuro, and Inuzuka Sa were usually a group of six, always playing, doing activities, and having picnics together.
Hearing Hongdou's call, Kankuro, Izumo Kamizuki, and Inuzuka Sa immediately ran over.
