After they came inside, Hayate excitedly circled the two old men. That left Hanfu, his older brother, to fetch the water himself.

"We've already eaten, thank you for asking, Hayate."

"Hayate, are you enjoying yourself here?"

After the two old men had talked for a good while, they started getting thirsty without any water.

Inoue Gekko turned to look for Hanfu, but he wasn't there, so he asked Hayate to go instead. "Hayate, would you pour the two grandpas some water?"

"Sure!"

Hayate was bursting with excitement. At once, he rushed into the kitchen, where he found his big brother leaning against the wall, giving him a strange look.

"B-Big Brother."

Under that stare, Hayate felt a chill run down his spine and shuddered.

"Here to get them some water?"

Hanfu asked with a grin, closing the door at the same time.

"Yeah, the two grandpas are thirsty." Hayate
