Danzo's Unease (Please Subscribe)

Hokage Rock.

As Hokage Rock trembled slightly above the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi's likeness, Danzo's one eye flashed, and his sinister gaze shot toward the Anbu Headquarters Building.

"That's..."

Fugaku Uchiha, standing beside him, noticed the disturbance at once. His dark eyes abruptly turned black and red, revealing Three Tomoe Sharingan, and fixed on the building.

A violent explosion shattered every window in the Anbu Headquarters Building. Amid a chaotic chorus of piercing screams, thick black smoke and surging flames billowed from the broken windows and rose into the sky.

Hearing the muffled roar of an explosion from that direction, Danzo's bark-like, aged face slowly spread into a cold smile. "Clan Head Fugaku, what do you think?"

Fugaku Uchiha's expression was grim. "Advisor Danzo, you're playing with fire!"

At first, Fugaku Uchiha had thought Danzo intended to use a diversion: feign an attack on the Konoha Military Police Force Building to create chaos, then launch a surprise attack on the Fourth Hokage and take his head.

But he hadn't expected Danzo's first move to be an attack on the Anbu Headquarters Building!

That was like poking a hornet's nest!

"Heh heh heh..."

Danzo chuckled coldly. "Clan Head Fugaku, this single explosion is enough to blow the Anbu Building to pieces and kill every Anbu ninja inside!"

"What?" Fugaku Uchiha froze, then quickly shifted his gaze from Danzo's aged face to the Anbu Headquarters Building.

There, black smoke billowed and flames blazed, but the Anbu Headquarters Building still stood amid the smoke and fire. It hadn't been blown away.

Could there have been some kind of misunderstanding?

Fugaku Uchiha turned to Danzo in confusion, then abruptly realized the old man had only one eye left. With his vision clouded by age, he could probably see only the towering smoke and flames,
