Hyuga Shinichi's family had an indoor training ground about the size of a basketball court. Large quantities of ninja tools lined both sides: kunai, shuriken, senbon, swords, katanas, and more. Of course, they were all for training and had no sharp edges.
"Hanfu, pick whichever weapon you like," Hyuga Shinichi said, walking straight to the center of the training ground without choosing any ninja tools himself.
Hanfu didn't bother acting tough. He went right over to the weapon rack, strapped a Ninja Tool Pouch to his thigh, then grabbed a full set of kunai, shuriken, and senbon.
After that, Hanfu picked out a sword.
Ever since he'd acquired Dance of the Crescent Moon from Inoue Gekko, he'd practiced on wooden posts every few days. Although he still couldn't use Dance of the Crescent Moon, his swordsmanship had improved rapidly.
"I'm ready, Shinichi-senpai. Come on!"
Once he'd picked his equipment, Hanfu stood before Hyuga Shinichi with his sword in hand. The Green Light Orb in his mind stirred restlessly.
Hyuga Shinichi raised his eyelids slightly, then closed the distance in a quick step and struck toward Hanfu's left side with his palm.
Without a word, Hanfu slashed at Hyuga Shinichi's elbow, targeting a spot he had to defend.
Hyuga Shinichi narrowed his eyes and shifted his step. His body skimmed past the blade, narrowly dodging to Hanfu's right. He pressed in close and struck toward Hanfu's abdomen with another palm.
Hanfu's eyelid twitched. This guy's reflexes were so fast!
And...
With a longer weapon came greater reach, but at close quarters, a shorter weapon was more dangerous. Now that Hyuga Shinichi had closed in, Hanfu couldn't swing his long sword properly. It had become a burden, hindering his movements.
Hanfu promptly dropped the sword, then drew a kunai from his pouch
