Smart, Thick-Skinned, and Ruthless!
"Old Man, I'm in charge!!!" Su Ye's voice rang out.
Pushing open the Office door, I found the Old Man inside handling official business.
"You're here, so why are you yelling so loudly?" the Old Man said irritably.
"Hehe, Old Man has become a god?" Su Ye looked at the Old Man with a smile.
"How did you know?" The Old Man then realized that he also knew about Su Ye's entry, so it wasn't surprising.
"So, does that mean I can walk sideways now?" Su Ye asked the Old Man.
The Old Man:...
Is it really okay for you to be so blunt?
"How can you walk sideways? You have to walk sitting up. Otherwise, you'll need someone to push you around. Wouldn't it be better if you could be pushed wherever you want to go?" The Old Man smiled as he looked at Su Ye.
Su Ye:...
"Ahem, Old Man, I was just joking. Do you think I'm that kind of person? Would I say I have a god protecting me right now?" Su Ye said with a serious expression.
"Yes," the Old Man uttered a single word.
Su Ye:...
"Old Man, we can't have a pleasant conversation like this," Su Ye said with a hint of resentment.
"You brat, the worst thing for a person is to become arrogant, you know? Make money quietly, do things with a high profile, understand?" The Old Man looked at Su Ye and said seriously.
Su Ye nodded seriously.
"By the way, how's your recruitment plan at the school going?" the Old Man asked Su Ye.
Su Ye shook his head. "You Old Man I'm still at school, I don't know anyone there, how am I supposed to recruit anyone?"
"If I just randomly asked someone if they wanted to be my Henchman, they'd think I was crazy."
"Here, take this." The Old Man directly took out a document recording names.
"This list of students from freshmen to seniors who have potential but clean backgrounds is yours to decide. Make sure it's no more than one-third of the total, no more than that. If it exceeds that number, you'll be in trouble, understand?" the Old Man said to Su Ye.
Su Ye was taken aback as he looked at the document the Old Man handed him. It was filled with the names, family backgrounds, talents, Troops strength, potential analysis, personality analysis, character analysis, and so on of all the students from freshman to senior year.
"Old Man, will there be any problems with this?" Su Ye asked the Old Man.
"What problems could possibly arise?" the Old Man said calmly.
"As long as you don't act recklessly, there will absolutely be no problems. Remember my words, the number of people above you should be at most one-third; any more than that and there will be problems, understand?" the Old Man said softly.
"Understood!" Su Ye nodded.
These are all talented lords with clean backgrounds and powerful Troops, who are also being targeted by other forces.
Su Ye ate one-third, which was a lot, but two-thirds were still outside, so it wasn't a big problem.
Although some people might say something, Su Ye didn't break the rules, and that's enough.
Recruiting talent has always been a matter of individual ability.
Su Ye carefully put away the list, intending to give it to Wen Qingqing and the others as soon as they returned, so they could help him find suitable candidates.
Same old rule, no men.
"One more thing, don't provoke the Gu Family right now," the Old Man said to Su Ye, adding a word of advice, afraid that Su Ye might not be able to swallow his anger.
"What's wrong?" Su Ye asked with a hint of curiosity.
"At most six months," the Old Man said.
"At most six months?" Su Ye's eyes showed a hint of surprise, then he understood. It seemed the Empire was about to make its move.
At most six months.
Why half a year? Su Ye didn't know; perhaps the empire was making its moves.
Thinking of this, Su Ye nodded. "Old Man, I understand. I will definitely avoid the Gu Family for the next six months."
"By the way, Old Man, can these still be sold?" Su Ye produced two Strange Crystal in his hand.
The Old Man looked at Su Ye:...
"How many of these do you have?" the Old Man asked Su Ye curiously.
"Four. I originally planned to keep them for myself, but after thinking about it, I decided against it, since there's something wrong with them," Su Ye said honestly.
"Then why are you taking it out now?" the Old Man asked curiously.
"Old Man, I'm not stupid. This thing will rot in my hands in another six months. If I don't use it now to swindle the Gu Family, when will I?" Su Ye said to the Old Man with a straight face.
The Old Man looked at Su Ye:...
"Alright, that's enough. Don't auction this thing off. I'll arrange a deal with the Gu Family for you," the Old Man said.
"Then I'll have to trouble Old Man." Su Ye handed the two Strange Crystal to the Old Man.
The Old Man simply put it away.
"Alright, if there's nothing else, you can go back now," the Old Man said to Su Ye, as he still had official business to attend to.
"Alright then, since you're telling me to leave, Old Man, I'll leave," Su Ye said with a hint of resentment.
Bang!!
Su Ye grinned, covered his head, and crouched down in defense.
Seeing that the Old Man hadn't moved an inch, he then left the Office.
"This brat is really mischievous." The Old Man smiled, then put away the Strange Crystal that Su Ye had taken out.
"Smart, thick-skinned, ruthless, and unscrupulous when necessary—not bad, not bad at all. That's how you go further," the Old Man said with a hint of admiration.
Su Ye went straight back to his villa and then back to his Territory.
He took out the list that the Old Man had given him.
This list is even more detailed than the school's records; the Old Man must have spent a lot of time compiling it.
However, there was one thing Su Ye was not satisfied with: the list included both men and women. This was a bit inconsiderate of the Old Man; he'd have to give him a good talking-to later and make sure the Old Man paid attention next time.
The idea of rebelling against the Heavenly Gang took shape in Su Ye's mind.
But thinking about the Old Man's sharp rebuke, I decided against it; my head couldn't take it.
Two figures appeared beside Su Ye.
Olivia, the Samsara Sovereign; Olivera, the End of Calamity! (Holy Angel!)
Keisha is preaching in World No. 6, while Alyssa is in a deep sleep. There were signs of this before, and Alyssa is now the same as Pangaea was before.
They are all condensing their Eternal Divinity and Eternal Divine Body in slumber, and Su Ye doesn't know exactly how long it will take.
Anyway, it took Pangaea quite a while to complete the last one, so it was a bit unexpected for Su Ye that Alyssa could become the second being to condense Eternal Divinity.
But that makes sense, since Alyssa worked the hardest to improve her strength, and Su Ye originally thought that Ao Long would be the second.
The second one would be True Dragon with a powerful physical body, but Ao Long spends all her time sleeping. She's currently sleeping under the Sun Moon Star Light Lake. Except when Su Ye calls her, she's basically asleep when it's her turn to stand guard.
It seems like all True Dragon are like this, and Dragon are pretty much the same—incredibly lazy.
