Overthrowing Taboo Gives One the Qualification to Challenge the Rules of the Empire

"Alright then," Su Ye said somewhat reluctantly.

"You're still not satisfied, kid. The empire has its rules, and you'd better abide by them until you have the power to overturn the table," the Old Man said softly.

"How long will it take for him to grow up?" Su Ye asked curiously.

"You really want to? It's not a big problem. When you're able to take down the Taboo, you'll be qualified to challenge the rules of the empire. Note that it's qualified to challenge them." The Old Man joked, not taking Su Ye's words seriously at all.

After all, it's best to just take these kinds of words with a grain of salt.

The ranks of lords are divided into: Black Iron, Bronze, Silver Rank, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Rank, Diamond, Saint Realm, Mythical, Epic, Legendary, Demigod God!

"I see." Su Ye nodded, now fully understanding the hierarchical divisions above the gods.

"Does the Old Man have any levels beyond Genesis?" Su Ye asked the Old Man with some curiosity.

"I don't know, I'm not sure." The Old Man shook his head. Perhaps it is, perhaps it isn't, who knows?

"Old Man, do you mean the empire has Genesis Level being?" Su Ye looked at the Old Man with a hint of shock.

The Old Man looked at Su Ye with a half-smile, "You'll have to see for yourself to find out. Whether it's true or not isn't up to me to say; you'll only know for sure after you see it for yourself."

Su Ye looked at the Old Man; hadn't those words already confirmed it?

Only by overturning the Taboo can one challenge the rules of the empire.

"Alright, let's not talk about that anymore. What I want to tell you is that the rule of the empire is that you have to accept the consequences of your bets. Once you're at the table, you have to accept it. The Gu Family is no exception, as are all the other big Families," the Old Man said slowly.

"There's something else I need to tell you. Your senior brother guessed it, and that's what I got from you," the Old Man said to Su Ye.

I forgot yesterday, but the Old Man didn't intend to hide it and told Su Ye directly.

"Oh." Su Ye nodded casually.

"Oh? Aren't you worried?" the Old Man asked Su Ye.

"What are you worried about? If you Old Man wanted to lay a hand on me, you would have done it already. There's no need to worry. I'm just a lazy bum." Su Ye said nonchalantly, looking like a lazy bum, completely unconcerned.

Before, I was just guessing based on my Troops, but now I have a clear idea.

"Only by overturning Taboo can one be qualified to challenge the rules of the empire." Su Ye narrowed his eyes; he didn't believe the Old Man was talking nonsense.

Although it was said jokingly, the truth is often said in jest.

This also means that the empire possesses at least a military force that surpasses the Above Taboo, which is a given; otherwise, why would those powerful Families be so obedient?

Those at the Main God Level had no room for resistance whatsoever; with just a word, they were sent to fill the battle lines. Anyone with even a slight capacity for resistance wouldn't have been sent to such a state.

This means that the empire truly possesses combat power that surpasses the Taboo. Whether it has reached the Genesis Level is hard to say, but it is definitely Above Taboo.

"This is tough," Su Ye rubbed his temples. He had thought he was close to becoming invincible, but now it seemed he still had a long way to go.
