Old Man explained to Su Ye that loud dissent within the Empire had become a destabilizing force and reflected a growing struggle among its own factions. He told Su Ye to stay neutral and accept anything sent to him while denying knowledge of the dispute, leaving Su Ye aware that someone might soon approach him.
Su Ye reflected on the Empire’s internal disagreements, while the Seven Divine Pillars approved the evaluation and gradual promotion of his new cultivation system. The Empire began simplifying the system, and Su Ye remained in his Territory, unaware of how quickly its rollout had started.
Su Ye detected a spreading scent of calamity over Europe and investigated Empire intelligence reports about new cultivation systems and internal disputes. The Empire was promoting a simplified version of Su Ye’s origin system, while debate over alliances and halting the war continued.
Su Ye read reports about the Empire’s growing militarism and Hans Cat’s rise with the Nether Abyss Clan, then began Great Dream Samsara. Meanwhile, an Ancestor-level being entered a forbidden zone in the Primordial Divine Saint Clan’s Ancestral Land, prompting the clan to summon its Ancestors.
Hui Yi entered the Primordial Divine Saint Clan’s forbidden zone and found Cang Yu, an Emperor from the Primordial Era who had been imprisoned there since vanishing in an ancient war. Cang Yu offered to tell Hui Yi what happened if he was freed, then revealed that he possessed the Great Dao Altar.
Cang Yu explained to Hui Yi that the blood-stained supreme treasure had caused the last war of Emperors and revealed why the Primordial Myriad Races had united against the Primordial Divine Saint Clan. He left Hui Yi with the revelation that the clan could follow and even forge the paths of the Myriad Clans.
Cang Yu explained to Hui Yi how the human race’s ability to learn every Dao made it a target of the Primordial Myriad Races, and how Chi You’s sacrifice disrupted the Primordial Divine Saint Clan’s plan to erase the Primordial Era. He revealed that the ancient races and Emperors had been buried but not destroyed, leaving the Emperors as a check on the Primordial Divine Saint Clan.
Cang Yu told Hui Yi that a chaotic war across the heavens would bring back the Emperors and lead to a reckoning with the Primordial Divine Saint Clan. He tempted Hui Yi with the Spear of Destiny, and Hui Yi agreed to give him a wisp of origin in exchange for its location.
Hui Yi learned that the Spear of Destiny was in the Cangming Ancient Realm and knowingly set out for the trap because he needed it to advance. Back in his territory, Su Ye learned that Xi Yue had completed a device to block Abyssal Erosion, though it had only been tested in one Abyss.
Su Ye learned that Lilith and the other Hero Units were training hard, then witnessed his territory’s Luck Cocoon hatch into a humanoid Luck Beast named Xian’er. After leaving Xian’er in charge of the territory, he returned to the Main World and reviewed reports of the expanding Chaos Calamity, including White Eagle’s call for global unity and Hans Cat and the Nether Abyss Clan’s advance through Europe.
Su Ye learned that The Empire had prepared resources and backup plans to help the major empires produce Genesis Levels, and Bear Country had just created one. Old Man revealed that the Empire had anticipated this and began hinting at a further reason for its preparations.
Old Man explained that the Empire had secretly eliminated Genesis Level geniuses abroad in earlier Epochs, but now allowed them to emerge as the Main World faced mounting threats. He warned Su Ye that Bear Country was preparing to seize nearby resources and might seek to revive the Red Bear era, leaving Su Ye to consider that it could succeed.
Old Man explained to Su Ye that the Main World had entered an era of survival and plunder, while the Empire remained strong enough to deter its enemies. The Shadowmoon Clan attacked the Island Country to seize its Luck, and Su Ye watched as its destruction seemed imminent.
A Shadowmoon Clan Genesis Level being invaded the Island Country and let Xiu Yi devour its Taboos and Outer Gods, while also helping him suppress them. Elsewhere, Hui Yi discovered a hidden world within the dead Cangming Ancient Realm that held the realm’s World Origin.
Hui Yi entered a hidden world within the Cangming Ancient Realm in search of the Spear of Destiny, despite sensing that many Emperors’ Dao traces made it dangerous. After the world revealed the ancient battle that had left the spear there, he was overwhelmed by his desire to claim it as the traces revived against him.
Hui Yi broke the seals around the Spear of Destiny, but its awakening drew the dormant Emperors and Sovereigns of the Heavens and Myriad Worlds to the Cangming Ancient Realm. As fifty Emperors gathered, a Sovereign ordered Hui Yi to abandon the weapon and bury the world, leaving him unwilling to give up.
Hui Yi fought the Thirty-One Emperors and reached for the Spear of Destiny, awakening golden Dao Patterns that revealed a trap laid by Fate. Fate appeared and confronted the Thirty-Two Emperors, revealing that Hui Yi’s erasure of the other Emperors’ Dao Patterns had helped the trap.
Hui Yi discovered that Xing Tian’s Immortal Body had been suppressed in the small world, while his Indestructible Soul remained in the Primordial Era. The Golden Being revealed that its scheme was meant to trap and bury the heavens’ Emperors, and the small world collapsed into a cage around them.
The Golden Being explained that he had trapped the Thirty-Two Emperors to end their control over the Heavens, but the Emperors suspected his motives and discovered that his true goal was to protect the birth of a new Ancestor. The chapter ended with them realizing that this was the first new Ancestor born since the Primordial Era.
Emperor One emerged in the Main World and began ascending toward Ancestor-level after merging two lives and paths. His breakthrough awakened the half-crippled White Bone King, an Emperor from the Primordial Era, who attacked him as the chapter ended.
