Background and History

Pei Ji was born from a brief relationship between the Devil Master Xie Yu and a mortal woman. Xie Yu abandoned them after using Pei Ji's mother to obtain her clan's cultivation techniques. She redirected her hatred toward Pei Ji, treating him as a reminder of his father and repeatedly abusing him throughout his childhood. She named him “Ji,” a name he understands as a curse tied to the hatred surrounding his birth 1 319.

He spent much of his childhood confined in a dark cellar, isolated from other children because of his Devil Race bloodline. After his mother died, he survived alone and continued to face poverty, violence, and discrimination 30 319.
