Background
Zheng Weiqi grew up in Luan City and later returned to the Xuanxu Sword Sect after spending time slaying demons in South Ridge. Her cousin, Qiu Baishuang, is the future City Lord of Luan City. 351
As Tian Xianzi's senior disciple, she became known for her explosive temper and foul language after her travels down the mountain. Tian Xianzi placed a silencing curse on her before she could finish writing Guide to Scoring at the Crematorium. 73 The curse later compels her to act on impulses she most dislikes, including forcibly flirting with Jiang Si. 100
She repeatedly struggled with the sect academy's written examination, studying General Theory of Swordsmanship through the night despite not understanding it. She eventually passed in the middle tier. 135 138
Appearance
Zheng Weiqi is a woman who commonly wears male cultivator attire, giving her an especially dashing and heroic appearance. Her natural poise and elegant features contrast sharply with her volatile expressions and blunt behavior. 79
- Usually wears white male-style robes. 96
- Her features are described as elegant as distant mountains. 79
- Was initially mistaken for a man by Jiang Si after fighting Xuanye. 99
- Often carries a Storage Bag filled with merchandise, books, cosmetics, and inventions. 87 93
Personality
Zheng Weiqi is short-tempered, outspoken, and easily provoked, but her outbursts are often interrupted by her master's silencing curse. She can be ruthlessly sarcastic, particularly when dealing with Jiang Si's outdated flirtation or poor sword-technique commentary. 73 99 100
Despite her eccentricity, she is practical and responsible in dangerous situations. She recognizes when an opponent is beyond the group's strength, contacts Tian Xianzi for aid against Xuanye, and protects weaker companions during the battle. 93 96
She is also intensely business-minded. Zheng Weiqi treats nearly every interaction as a potential sale, from cosmetics to hand-drawn sword manuals and romance novels. 73 87 147 Her concern for others is sincere, however: she takes pity on Ning Ning after believing her to be lonely and impoverished, comforts Meng Jiaqi, and shows maternal affection toward the regressed Pei Ji. 75 90 427
Abilities & Skills
Sword Cultivation
Zheng Weiqi is the strongest member of her group during the Jialan City incident and is identified as its only Nascent Soul cultivator. 96
- Uses swift, light footwork and precise sword control; she can sever drifting willow catkins with restrained sword qi. 117
- Pursued the Locust Ghost and fought multiple demon cultivators while escaping Lingquan Temple. 127 128

- Is capable of slaying Golden Core-stage demon cultivators. 128
Ten Thousand Sword Formula
Zheng Weiqi wields the Xuanxu Sword Sect's peerless true inheritance, the Ten Thousand Sword Formula. 96
- Produces numerous sword shadows that surround her body before striking in concert. 96
- Her sword qi can become wind-like, while the sword hum resembles dragons roaring. 96
- Wounded the Nascent Soul Great Perfection-level Xuanye, substantially exhausting him before Pei Ji continued the assault. 96 97
- Once used the technique for mundane chores, including scraping fish scales and skewering roast chicken, to her frustration. 397
Demon-Hunting Knowledge
Having spent years subduing demons outside the sect, Zheng Weiqi possesses practical knowledge of demonic threats and forbidden arts. 79 125
- Correctly assessed that the enemy could leave the forest to consume human souls while evading detection. 79
- Identified soul-forging through others' souls as one of the ten great forbidden arts. 125
- Recognized the danger posed by Xuanye and sent a spirit-pigeon warning to Tian Xianzi rather than recklessly confronting him alone. 93

Story Role / Major Arcs
Mountain Gate Merchant
Zheng Weiqi first appears running a stall outside the sect, selling poorly illustrated sword manuals, storybooks, rouge, and assorted goods. Ning Ning's arrival begins their senior-junior relationship. 73 74 75
Jialan City
Within the hidden city, Zheng Weiqi is discovered badly injured but remains focused on recording and presenting her designs. Meng Jiaqi's charm fails to affect her in the intended way because Zheng Weiqi mistakes its effects for ordinary customer interest. 86 87
When the group discovers Xuanye's possible presence, Zheng Weiqi contacts Tian Xianzi and warns that their Golden Core-level group cannot safely oppose a Spirit Transmutation expert. 93
She protects Qin Chuan and Meng Jiaqi against Xuanye, then uses the Ten Thousand Sword Formula to wound him despite her injuries. 96 Her identity as a woman is exposed when Jiang Si shields her from Xuanye's self-detonation. 99
Academy Examination
After previous failures, Zheng Weiqi studies obsessively for the academy written examination. She passes in the middle tier and celebrates extravagantly with her fellow disciples. 135 138 139
Lingquan Temple and Luan City Incidents
Zheng Weiqi assists in exposing Chen Lubai's forbidden soul-forging scheme and leads the group away from Lingquan Temple when demon cultivators converge on them. 125 128
During the Luan City arc, she is used by Luanniang as an unwitting clue to the soul-refining grounds. The ordeal leaves her without spiritual power and with amnesia. 269
Notable Quotes

“I want to make money, practice swordsmanship, and go down the mountain to vanquish demons. But there is too little time now; I simply cannot attend to everything. What should I do?” 409
