Some readers may not be used to it, but there's nothing wrong with "-kun." It's an honorific that doesn't distinguish between genders.
The same goes for "-chan." It can be used for either gender, but it's generally reserved for people you're very close to. Given Uchiha Kei and Hyuga Aya's relationship, do you really think they're close enough to call each other that now?
