Knight is a member of the Fegler family, a military lineage that includes several generals and one of the Star System Alliance Army's eight marshals. His background grants him unusual recognition and privileges at Seven Luminaries Academy. 26 32

He entered Seven Luminaries already dissatisfied with its simulated combat curriculum. Having trained around soldiers, he considers actual killing intent and battlefield conditions more valuable than academy exercises. 23
