Damn! A ninth-ring legendary spell! Even if I've got it now, can I even cast the damn thing?
Li Wei felt like he was about to cry. He was desperately short on spellcasting ability and powerful skills, but Sylvie, this innate spell you gave me is way too ridiculous!
It was like a weaned baby wishing a delicious pie would fall from the sky so he could enjoy a good meal, only to look up and have a military transport plane packed with food crash down on him.
But Li Wei had only just begun to despair when he noticed the description hidden in the spell's suffix:
The spell's range and the level of the summoned monsters depend on how much mana the caster invests.
Hm? Does that mean this so-called legendary spell doesn't have much of a caster-level requirement?
Because at its core, it's still a third-ring spell: [Summon Monster]?
It's just that after Sylvie proved her Legendary Destiny, she awakened some terrifying Spell Specialization, causing this originally ordinary summoning spell to undergo a qualitative change through sheer quantity?
And if this is a summoning spell that grows stronger over time, then once its mana and command of the laws reach the point where they can tear open the Crystal Sphere and connect to the entire multiverse, could it grow again—into something like [Otherworld Summoning]?

But out of caution, he patiently read through all the spell information that had appeared in his mind through the Inheritance Mark.
Otherworld Summoning. Otherworld—if I'm not mistaken, Sylvie really did summon demons from Coriel's Outer Planes: the Bottomless Abyss.
I have to say, Sylvie's got some nerve. She even dared to take those Chaotic Fools from the Abyss as her Retainers. Before she'd even proved her Legendary Destiny, she'd already secretly gained the loyalty of such renowned figures as a Six-armed Naga Sword Saint, a Balor lackey, and an Abyssal Bone Dragon big shot. It's hard to imagine how she managed it.
At the thought, Li Wei couldn't help feeling a little jealous.
He couldn't shake the feeling that compared to him, a transmigrator who could only hide in the Underdark, growing mushrooms and raising bamboo rats, Sylvie—the fiercely formidable Silver Dragon big boss—seemed more like the protagonist of some epic legend.
Brushing aside the jumble of thoughts in his head, Li Wei continued to examine the legendary spell:

According to the knowledge Li Wei had inherited from the dragons, the known planes of the Coriel Universe were mainly divided into the Material Plane, the Transition Plane, the Inner Planes, the Outer Planes, and various small Demiplanes.
The Material Plane was the plane where Li Wei lived. More precisely, he was in the Underdark of this Material World. But in planar terms, the Material World wasn't limited to the world he lived in. It included every world with natural laws similar to those of the real world. These worlds varied in size. One famous example was Athas, the "Dark Sun." Such worlds were separated from one another, but could still be reached by certain means, such as portals or spelljammers.
During the Netheril Era, when people colonized other planes, they reached these Parallel Material Worlds more than any others. Of course, many archmages preferred to explore more dangerous planes, such as the Outer Planes.
To a certain extent, the Outer Planes were born from the philosophies and beliefs of the Material Plane. They were the homes of the gods, as well as resting places for beings like Angels, Demons, and devils.
To give the simplest example, if Blue Star, the world where Li Wei had lived in his previous life, had supernatural powers and an energy like the Mana Tide, countless Outer Planes would have come into being there too:
Places like the boundless Primordial Continent, the Eighteen Hells, the Marvel World, the DC Universe, and even a place like Sigil that connected the myriad worlds—the Infinite Lord God World!
In the Outer Planes, belief was everything. Belief shaped reality. If a will was strong enough—because enough people shared the same belief, for instance, or because a being with sufficiently powerful will wished for it—then it became reality!
Every Outer Plane had its own alignment, reflecting a particular moral and ethical outlook. Good-aligned planes were called Upper Planes, while evil-aligned planes were called Lower Planes. Their native inhabitants tended to share their alignment. For example, Angels lived in the Upper Planes, while Demons and devils lived in the Lower Planes. Lawful Evil beings were called devils and lived in the Lawful Evil plane of Baator, while Chaotic Evil beings were called Demons and lived in the Chaotic Evil plane of the Abyss.
There were seventeen major Outer Planes of note: Heroic Domain of Elysium, Clockwork Nirvana of Mechanus, Peaceful Realm of Arcadia, Seven Heavens of Mount Celestia, Twin Eden of the Twin Paradises, Blessed Region of the Beastlands, Endless Wilderness of the Hunter's Moon, Olympian Woodlands of the Forest of Chult, Harmonious Domain of the Outlands, Eternal Chaos of Limbo, Windy Abyss of the Elemental Planes of Air, Infinite Layer of the Abyss, Grey Wastes of Hades, Eternal Desolation of Gehenna, and Nine Hells of Baator.
The good-aligned planes were also called the Heavens, while the evil-aligned planes were called Gehenna. They were connected by the River Styx and the River Styx, respectively.
The Outer Planes were also the final resting place for the souls of beings from the Material Plane, though that rest could mean peaceful contemplation or eternal torment.
After death, most beings went to the Outer Plane corresponding to their alignment in life. Thus, devils and Demons tried to corrupt people, hoping they would fall to the Lower Planes after death and become their soldiers and slaves, fighting forever in the Blood War!
The Transition Planes were the Astral Plane, the Ethereal Plane, and the Shadow Plane, which mages knew best. They all connected to the Material Plane and could be traversed. These planes interacted most strongly with the Material Plane and could be reached through various forms of magic. They also served as the most common waystations for mages traveling between planes.
The Inner Planes were home to the various elements, which made up the Material World. The six main Inner Planes were Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Positive Energy, and Negative Energy.
These six planes embodied the basic components that made up the world. Each was dominated by a single element or energy. For example, the entire Elemental Plane of Fire was filled with endless, inextinguishable flames. The native inhabitants of the Inner Planes were likewise made up of the corresponding elements or energies. Mages could summon Elemental Creatures from the Inner Planes to fight for them. The Inner Planes connected to the Material Plane through the Ethereal Plane, forming its physical foundation. Everything in the Material Plane arose from elements originating in the Inner Planes.
Finally, Demiplanes were a catch-all category for extradimensional spaces resembling ordinary planes but limited in size and access. Other planes were theoretically infinite, while a Demiplane might be only a few hundred feet across.
It was worth noting that many spellcasters of legendary rank or higher also created private Demiplanes to use as homes, storage rooms, and final hiding places.
In theory, as long as Li Wei had the coordinates of these planes, then having mastered this spell meant he could summon any creature from a plane at those coordinates to fight for him!
Of course, that assumed Li Wei could make the creatures who strayed through the portals into the Material Plane submit.
Still, Li Wei suspected that at the stage when Sylvie passed the spell on to him, this Otherworld Summoning could probably only link to that place of Chaotic Evil—the...
