As if demanding an answer, a flash of anger seemed to pass through Anna's eyes.
Having only just received the news, she had rushed here almost the instant she learned of it.
Without the slightest fear, she stared directly at the highly ranked general, her voice cold and furious as though she were enraged.
Faced with Anna's questioning, the general's expression darkened at first. After a moment, he could only speak in a deep, helpless voice.
He had no way to hide anything. Or rather, there was no need to hide it.
For historical reasons, Anna was an extremely special existence among the Mutated. Even he did not dare offend her.
"Miss Anna, killing Lin An was indeed the Emperor's order."
"You think that because he is a Perfected One, and because he and the Mutants are mortal enemies, we should not have acted against him?"
He directly pointed out the source of Anna's anger. Though the general vaguely found her fury somewhat strange, he had no intention of looking into it.
He knew that Anna had an innate fondness for human forms—or rather, for beings who were still human.
"Yes!"
"I am ninety percent certain that child is a Perfected One!"
"His Mental Strength is powerful, and all his attributes are strong! He was covered in the 'blood' of many Mutants. He did not deceive us!"
"I also smelled the aura of Native Humans on him. That aura carried goodwill!"
"I believe you verified his identity, didn't you? He is not an enemy, but a human in the same situation as us!"
"Why does the Emperor want to kill him!"
Unable to understand, she was filled with anger.
If Lin An were still here, he would likely have been surprised by Anna's
