"Shak, did you hear something?"
Across the boundless earth, two Mutated stood like lighthouses in a black desert.
Their massive bodies stopped beside a black mountain.
The one who spoke was a Mutated with bulging muscles all over his body but an abnormally small head.
He rotated his head in confusion. Compared to his enormous body, the constantly spinning head, only as large as that of an ordinary Mutated, looked comical, like an antenna on a satellite.
"No. What is it? Did you hear something?"
The Mutated walking ahead of him, known as Shak, replied casually.
Four arms grew messily from his back, resembling rotten wings. He seemed to have long grown accustomed to Shak's jumpiness, and, already somewhat irritated, could not help but sneer.
"Stop listening, little-head Evan."
"Before connecting to the Red Net, do you think you can distinguish anything?"
"Your breathing is louder than the sounds outside!"
Lacking patience, Shak clenched his fist and blew apart the sandstorm before the somewhat comical Mutated, sneering as he mocked him.
As Mutated of their level, the weakest among them, their mutations were usually flawed.
Evan's mutation focused solely on strength. To successfully mutate, he had nearly lost all his sensory abilities, along with even the minimum level of Mental Strength.
This had caused his brain to atrophy, making him look like a monster suffering from malnutrition.
Of course, he was the same.
To successfully mutate, he too lacked a normal level of Mental Strength, as well as the most important thing—speed.
Fortunately, his multi-armed mutation gave him powerful close-combat abilities, allowing him to barely qualify as a competent warrior.
"I hate connecting to the Red Net. That thing gives me a headache!"
As though he truly had low intelligence, the small-headed Mutated Evan seemed not to hear the mockery
